Athletics: The athletics at Boynton Beach high school includes support from students and staff. Cheerleaders are also out there on the field during football games to support their team. Everyone shows their school spirit by chanting the theme for our mascot-the tigers. I believe our football team is unbeatable and is capable of winning every game with the help and support from our school. We are the same for every sport including tennis, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and swimming. We have some pretty well-performed sports at our school. Most of them are also unbeatable or have rarely lost a game.

Off-Campus Housing: Off-Campus housing at FSU is pretty nice. There are plenty of apartments nearby that are spacious and all for a pretty good price. There are some minor problems here and there but nothing more out of the ordinary that comes from apartment life. Off-campus housing is definitely way better than the dorms on campus, and a lot cheaper too.

Diversity: There seems to be a diverse population and acceptance amoung them

Nightlife: There are few clubs that are unique enough to peak my interest. I am more interested in getting my education and degree.

Diversity: Here at FSU we have a relatively diverse campus yet there is still a dominance found in the upper middle class whites.

2 College Junior

Majors: The only internship I've ever had was most useful in resume building, the work itself was rarely intellectually stimulating or useful.

Nightlife: Events are always going on on campus for students under 21. There are a few options off campus too, for both 18+ and 21+. There are a few house parties and other venues where local bands play, and for the most part it's under $5 for admission. FSU even has their own venue, Club Downunder, which has weekly concerts and is free for students with their student ID.

Academics: The academics at FSU are top notch and very prestigious.

Drug Safety: There is very little peer pressure, yet the drug usage is still fairly apparent.

Campus Housing: Although there are a few rough and dirty halls on campus, even the worst ones are still significantly better than the best ones at more other competing schools.

Weather: The Weather in Tallahassee is beautiful. True, there are some nasty days, with regards to rain, and storms, but overall, the weather is fantastic for the majority of the year. Couldn't ask for a more comfortable place.

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There is always something to do every night of the week at FSU. Whether its house parties, bars, or clubs; its impossible to get bored.

Diversity: There are tons of students from all around the world at FSU. They're all great to talk to if you're polite. They all have different stories and different views of the world.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Academics at FSU are fantastic in every field. All of the professors are very well versed in there subjects and they all have a passion about what they're teaching.

Parking: There are tons of garages on campus but the student spots are at the top of all of them. They also fill pretty fast so if you're not parked by 8:30am you won't be parking at all. We're also not allowed to back in in the garages despite the fact that our decals are on the FRONT windshield. They also don't warn you about the colors of the lines. One color is for faculty only and the other is for students. You don't know which is which until you get a ticket.

Academics: Its a fantastic university with great programs but the out of state cost is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that there aren't people in the offices that are really willing to help. Its the same run around of "there's nothing else we can do for you." But other then that its a really great place. The campus is lovely as is the city and there are tons of fun things to do.

5 College Junior

Diversity: Florida State University offers many organizations for any ethnicity, culture, religious belief or sexual orientation. We do not discriminate and always encourage everyone to express themselves in their own way, and will always be accepted for who they are.

2 College Junior

Parking: Parking is always a problem with a lot of university. Since there are a lot of students as well as teachers, it is always hard to get a spot right away. Usually I have to wait and look around for about 30min to find a good parking spot.

Facilities: Florida State University has a lot of campus pride. The Seminoles are always represented by the students, and we always cheer for our athletic centers, especially when it is football season.

4 College Junior

Weather: Tallahassee is wonderful because you get the bright and sunshine weather as well as the nice and winter cool weather. It's the best of both worlds.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: They have a lot of resources for financial aid and they offer different sites to find scholarships as well. But one aspect that I would change is offering scholarships for those who do not necessarily have financial aid through FAFSA, but regardless want scholarships to pay off college.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of fast food restaurants and restaurant right next to campus. Favorites are Jimmy Johns, Chickfila and Chiptole.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of options and a lot of price ranges, but you really need to know what you're looking for in order to get what you need. There are buses that go off campus and pick up students. That's the best part even though you have to plan ahead to get to the bus on time.

Drug Safety: A lot of the parties if not all have drugs present other than alcohol whether it's cannabis, cocaine, molly, etc.

Health & Safety: While FSU tries to keep the campus safe with emergency lights and rides that are available to FSU students at night, such as the SAFE bus or Gotcha, there is still a lot of crime. I get an email about a robbery or other such crimes at least 3 times a month.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
