Guys & Girls: Guys are very attractive, yet assholes, hard to find good guys to be in a relationship with

4 College Junior

Majors: Many major options, great programs within your major

4 College Junior

Majors: Very happy with what I have learned so far

1 College Junior

Drug Safety: So much drug usage, its like drinking water

2 College Junior

Greek Life: Stuck up rich kids, very cliquey, fake, rude, cause a lot of trouble, encourage bad behavior

3 College Junior

Transportation: The airport nearby is a pain to get in and out of

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Just average, a lot of fast food/chain restaurants, a few local restaurants but all have similar college town cheap feel

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The weather is fabulous, it is a beautiful campus, there are so many activities to get involved in

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: They are strict about certain things like drug use and cheating. Underage drinking is more on an issue with off campus police. Many RA's are cool about drinking in the dorm if it doesn't get out of hand so most often campus police won't get involved.

4 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: There are options if that is what you are interested in. About 15% of student body is involved, but they are active on campus so it seems like more of the student body is involved.

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: There are plenty of IM's. Tickets for sporting events are included in school fee's so tickets are free and easy to get. There are two gyms on campus that are well stocked.

Majors: You have to keep a certain GPA but you don't have to apply to get into the program.

Majors: My program prepared me well for medical school.

Local Atmosphere: A very different experience that what I was used to. Everything revolves around the sports. There are a great number of bars, and parties every weekend. If you're into that sort of stuff then Tallahassee is the place to be.

Weather: It's pretty rainy in Florida. That doesn't really affect traffic, it's just inconvenient.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They don't really help you when it comes to this. You need to get all the information on your own.

Transportation: Getting around the town is very easy and very cost effective. Many of the transportation services are free, expect the FSU Taxi which is $5.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
