Parking: It's convenient, but since permits are free it's sometimes difficult to find spots the first few weeks. Once you figure it out it's fine, but you have to keep strictly to your schedule.

Greek Life: There's options, so chose carefully.

Off-Campus Dining: As long as it's before 1:00 am you can get many options close to campus. After midnight there's MacDonald, Starbucks, Whataburger and other fast foods.

Nightlife: The best parties are at the Tenn Strip, security checks IDs at every bar so no underage drinkers are allowed. most clubs and bars are close to college and there's minor interference from the locals. As for parties for underage students there are quite a few greek and house parties which they can attend, not to mention the tailgating and other sporting parties in Tally. Finally for transportation, the students can either carpool or use the public or university buses from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
