2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Within walking distance from campus it is almost all fast food. You need a bus for grocery stores and a car if you want to go somewhere nice.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Printing is not free but it's fast. There are lots of computers, except during finals and midterms. WiFi is crowded but usable.

Campus Housing: Depends on which dorm you are in. The suite style is nice if you like privacy and are responsible. Community style is a great way to get to know people and connect with people in your dorm.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: We have to pay a lot for it in tuition. $164/sem

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: FSU is awesome. The students are awesome and so are the teachers. Football games are huge events that are always fun, and if you are a foodie, Tallahassee has great and unique options to offer you.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: FSU definitely has a lot of nightlife options for students. There are many different clubs and bars, but parking sucks if you want to go to any of these places. If you are smart and don't drive though, there are many cheap transportation options for students.

Campus Strictness: FSU is strict where it counts with serious topics such as alcohol, drugs, and crime, but it still allows students to have fun and enjoy the college atmosphere. FSU provides a nice balance for students.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
