Diversity: Everybody is so different here and that is what makes the campus such a great place to be. No matter where you go, when you meet somebody there is already a different story to hear from the new person that you have met.

Transportation: There are constantly buses running around that allow a student to get to class. Sometimes the bus is late, but with the Trans Loc app the whole process is a lot easier.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It is obvious that most kids do drugs but at the same time there are a lot who do not.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I love being able to go to all of the restaurants that are within a close range from campus.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of different options, from the many fast-food and chain restaurants, to the locally owned restaurants, to high-end meals. Some of the nicer restaurants will be in the Downtown area, around the capital, but there are a few other nicer-dining options. There are a lot of chain or fast food restaurants very close to campus, but anything nicer will be a bit farther away.

Nightlife: There are always parties and drink specials at nightclubs. Under-21s can get into most nightclubs, though they aren't allowed to drink. There are many Greek parties that are open to non-Greeks, but there are also just huge house parties all the time. It is very rare for cops to "bust" a party near FSU. On-campus/dorm drinking will usually be caught - though not necessarily punished, just shut down - so it isn't a good idea to risk that.

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity on campus! FSU is a diverse and accepting campus.

5 College Junior

Athletics: FSU has HUGE student involvement in the sports atmosphere! The stadium will fill up for football games and basketball and baseball games are very popular as well. FSU won the BCS National Championship for this year, after an undefeated season. There is a lot of pride in Seminole sports, and it shows.

Greek Life: There is a heavy Greek presence of campus but it is not overwhelming. Greeks and non-Greeks do interact with each other. People in the Greek system can be clique-y, but the majority often are not.

Academics: As a Finance major, my workload is pretty heavy, but I really do feel that I am getting a lot out of it. There are plenty of free tutors around campus, and they are even available late into the night.

5 College Junior

Academics: The academics at FSU are great! The professors really vary in how strict they are - some are very strict with deadlines and homework, while others will be more lenient and give breaks to students once in a while. Curriculums for majors seem to make sense to help students make the most out of their college careers. FSU offers free tutoring in Strozier library and in the William Johnston building, for most classes offered. There are a ton of places to study around campus, with some libraries being open for 24/hours. The library has many great options for students, like state-of-the-art SMART study rooms and equipment rental, like laptops, projectors, whiteboards, and so much more.

Campus Dining: Availability of campus dining is better here than at many other colleges - most campuses will have dining halls wit selective hours, closing during certain times of the day, but FSU's two dining halls stay open from morning until night. There are a lot of restaurants on campus, and it seems that there are more and more opening up every year. We also have a 24-hour Denny's restaurant. There are fast-food dining options as well as sit-down options. On-campus, in addition to the two dining halls, there is a Subway, Chic-fil-a, several Starbucks, Papa John's, Miso, Pollo Tropical, Freshens, Chili's, Denny's, and much more.

Off-Campus Housing: I have lived off campus for my whole time at FSU. I love living off-campus. There are many options, and basically you get what you pay for. There are very cheap options that will come unfurnished and potentially be in bad shape, and there are the more expensive options that have security guards, are very clean, and offer many (sometimes unnecessary) amenities. There are many options very close to the school but you can also choose to live further if you don't want to live so close to campus.

Transportation: FSU offers a bus route on-campus, with most routes also going to areas off-campus where students my live or otherwise frequent often. FSU students can also ride the StarMetro, which is Tallahassee's city bus, for free around town. Both of these options are free for students. There are greyhound and redcoach bus stations for long-distance travelling, as well as an airport. Train travel is possible if you take a bus to Jacksonville then transfer to the Amtrak.

Overall Experience: I could not be more proud to call myself a Florida State Seminole! I love so much about my school - there is a great variety of student activities on and off campus, and great programs to help students become adults. FSU staff goes above and beyond to make it a great school. The professors are intelligent and interesting, and they really care about their students and subjects. It is great to attend a school with such a huge football program - even students who aren't on the team feel a sense of unity when we have something to cheer for.

Diversity: There is mostly majority groups, but they are accommodating.

Parking: Too many permits given for the number of spaces...

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: People do it of their own will. The police department is pretty good at finding them too.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of Asian and Mediterranean restaurants.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are a great amount of people who are involved in the party scene and those who aren't. The guys not into partying are a bit hard to locate though... maybe that's just me,

Academics: The classes are great for the field I'm in. I'm sure they vary per major.

Academics: A music major is in the best place. FSU is in the top 3 for music schools.
