2 College Junior

Parking: If you live off campus and need to park on campus for class, good luck. You'll need to leave your house like an hour early.

4 College Junior

Weather: I think Tallahassee weather is actually really funny. The summers are brutal, and the winters are even more brutal. One day it can be 80 degrees and the next 60. But I guess that's why I like it.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am a business major, which is one of the biggest majors at the school. The classes are large and the only way I know people is through greek-life.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel very safe walking through campus during the day alone. But at night is a different story. The surrounding area is very scary and multiple robberies have occurred.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: I actually really liked the dining halls. There are 2 on campus and then there is a lot of other places such as Chick-Fil-A and Chili's that take students "flex bucks."

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: The bars aren't that hard to get into unless you are a freshman. If you want to buy drugs you just have to know the right people.

Overall Experience: Florida State University has everything. We just won the national championship, the night-life is great, the library is great, the buildings are historic. If I could do it again....I would.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I could never see myself living here after graduation. The school is gorgeous but not so much the city.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Campus housing could be a lot better. Some of the dorms are just in terrible condition.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I am in huge amounts of debt because my family is "average" and with 4 kids in college, therefore we barely get any financial aid to help with my schooling.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: There is something to do every night of the week.

Off-Campus Housing: There are some REALLY great dorms, and then there are some not so good ones. It's pretty much based on luck which one you get.

College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't been to many places off campus to eat, however the ones I have experienced have been exceptional.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Everyone here is fantastic, they are kind, helpful, and interesting.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Make sure you pay attention to deadlines and amounts; it's not too hard to get financial aid but if you wait too long it takes awhile, due to everyone else trying to get aid.

Campus Housing: I love living on campus. It is convenient and comfortable.

Athletics: WE ARE NUMBER ONE IN THE NATION!

Campus Strictness: It can be really strict if you live in the more crappier dorms with restricted visitation but other than that, you can get away with a lot

Campus Dining: ehh. the dining halls can be better but the food is not horrible.

Facilities: Everybody is so willing to just be friends. There are so many outgoing and loving people. Of course there will be the few occasional students who are just rude or against the world. But for the most part, everybody is just having fun.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Everywhere on campus isn't only nice but not too far away from each other. SO if you have to study and then go to the gym and then go get food you can walk to all of those locations from each other.

Local Atmosphere: I absolutely love the atmosphere that FSU radiates.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: All of my financial aid money was applied and then refunded into my account with no problems

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is huge here. Even if you are not personally involved in Greek Life. You know about it and may have even partied at the houses.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
