Scholarships: Overall it was good, but some things at the beginning of the semester are a little confusing and there are a few unnecessary steps that must be taken.

Off-Campus Dining: There are several off campus dining options located within walking distance of campus on all sides of campus. There are also endless options within a 10 mile driving radius of campus. The variety is great and the prices are decent. A good mix of local and chain restaurants to suit everyone's taste

Greek Life: Greek life definitely dominates the student population at FSU. There are a lot of different fraternities and sororities at FSU.

Overall Experience: There are so many nice people at this school, and plenty of ways to meet different groups of people and get involved. There are so many clubs and organizations, internships, study groups, and events going on around campus. This school has a lot of pride and spirit, and embraces academic excellence, athletics, arts, etc.

Athletics: There are plenty of intramural sports to get involved in, and the sports teams are some of the best in the country, and are really embraced at this school. The gym for students has great, new equipment and offers trainers and yoga classes, etc.

Health & Safety: It is easy to stay notified of any crimes or threats to security occuring at FSU through text messages and mails. The police are quick to respond.

Scholarships: I am very lucky to be able to receive the scholarships I have that help pay for an education that I might otherwise not be able to experience. Because of the grades and test scores I received in high school I was given 2 different scholarships that assist me in paying for my education and I am beyond grateful. Financial aid is not hard to obtain and the people in the financial aid offices are very helpful.

Off-Campus Dining: The restaurants surrounding the campus are great. There are A LOT of options and they range from american, to mexican, to chinese, to sushi, and much much more. You never run out of options and there is always something to suit your taste buds or cravings on any certain day.

Health & Safety: There is not a lot of crime on the campus at all. I have never felt scared while walking around by myself on campus either. For the most part this is a very safe campus and I have minimal concerns.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is a great experience and makes going to class very convenient because you can walk anywhere. Although some dorms are pretty old, they are well maintained and have been updated to keep up with the newer dorms that get built every couple of years. If you have the choice, always choose a newer, suite-style dorm instead of a community-style dorm, it is well worth the added cost.

Transportation: I live off campus but rarely need to use my own personal car. Their are many different FSU bus routes and there are 2 different ones that have stops within 100 yards of my house. The buses come very regularly and there is rarely a problem with taking the bus to class.

Academics: The academics are what makes this school so great. The professors always make themselves very available and easy to approach for anything you might need. Also the advisors are all very helpful and knowledgable and can give you great advise if you are ever concerned or confused on what you should be taking or what direction you are going.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics at Florida State are superb. The school spirit and fan support is amazing. We as students always turn out great crowds for Seminole games. Game days are the best days of the year and they make the fall semesters great. The facilities also reflect the outstanding athletics and are always being updated and added on to so that they can support the constant growth.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The campus here is not very strict and does not hinder your overall college experience at all. For the most part they are just strict on things that are against the law like drug and underage alcohol consumption but that is to be expected on a college campus.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
