Nightlife: Nightlife at FSU is an atmosphere that if you are into that kind of atmosphere if is the place to be. It is only if you want to be involved in this, people don't act any different towards you if you are not involved in this.

Local Atmosphere: Atmosphere is a very fun, family atmosphere. Anything you want to do, there is a place to do it. Lots of attractions, cultural events, shopping, and parks. Tallahassee has it all!!

Diversity: Florida State is a very diverse school. And accepts Everyone from different backgrounds. This is a school who accepts anyone regardless of race, religion, or political beliefs. That is why I Love FSU!!

Health & Safety: Police are readily available and there are buttons to push if you feel danger. They are extremely vigilant in reporting all crimes, and keeping us as safe as possible.

5 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Campus is pretty lenient. School policies are what should be expected of any student.

5 College Junior

Computers: Computers at our school are readily available to all students. Speed and wireless access is top notch at the school. I have never encounteredd a problem.

Academics: Thus far I love the major I am in, which is Physical Therapy. They have a Physical Therapy club, which I belong to. It gives you all the information you need to know about the field you are in. There are a lot of internships on Campus and off, whichever suit your needs.

Athletics: All of the sports at Florida State are great to be in. It gets you involved in the school and you meet a lot of people. This is another involvement on Campus that gets you into all of the fun, and excitement. Facilities on Campus are some of the best fields, and arenas in the area.

Greek Life: Greek life gets you involved, not only in the University, also with the Charity's they give back to. You get to meet A LOT of wonderful people at the University, and it is a must to experience. The school looks at the Greek life as a part of the community/University. Housing that is available is in a big house you share with many people. If it is for you, that is the place to be.

Majors: I love Florida State University. I am scheduled to graduate in August, and If was asked to do it all over again? Yes, in a heartbeat!! I loved my Professors, and the college atmosphere, the library, and all the amenities they have for studying for those hard exams. I will be going on to graduate school and am pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. I know that I should not have a hard time in the profession I am seeking, there are a lot of jobs in the Health Industry, so I am not concerned at all.

Majors: The process of getting into my program was quit easy. I did not face any difficulties, or challenges. The most important criteria for admission, is your grades, your involvement in the community, and you ACT/SAT scores. Florida State does not have an abnormal application, I found it straightforward, and very user friendly. Tips for admission I would recommend is get those ACT/SAT scores as high as you can, and keep your high school grades up. It is competitive and you have to be on the top of your game to get into Florida State.

Weather: The weather affects my experience by not being able to ride my scooter on cold icy days, which don't happen that often. I do like the changes of the seasons. Overall, I would have to say the weather does not affect me that much.

4 College Junior

Majors: The College of Social Work offers a wide variety of internships choices. These internship opportunities can be found in the numerous avenues of social work. internships can be found in state government, community service agencies, non profit organizations, medical, mental health facilities, judicial/Law enforcement, schools, private businesses, etc. There are few paid internships. Internships agreements offer flexibility to students. There is available to do out of town and out of state internships.

Majors: I did my undergrad internship with the State Attorney's Office. My supervisor was very knowledgeable in her field. She shared her information and experience regularly. My internship was very interactive. I was supervised closely, with regularly scheduled meeting and an open door policy between me and staff. I did not answer phones, push papers, or file. I held a minimal caseload and was required to attend meeting, trainings, and court appointments, just like staff. It was a positive experience and I learned alot.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of varying types of restaurants around town. The price of food is average, probable the same as anywhere else. Coupons and discounts are offered to students. They are convenience to campus.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: FSU police are abundant and let students know of the lack of tolerance. Those who break the laws are arrested. The Police offer classes with regard to alcohol and drug safety. No one has ever pressured me to partake in alcoholic or drug activities nor do they exclude me because I am not interested in the use. Clubs and organizations (religious) offer alternative to event, activities, parties that do not include any use of alcohol or drugs.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
