4 College Sophomore

Majors: I'm very happy. The program has company representatives come to classes, focus panels, and job fairs. There are always on campus interview opportunities. The last 8 weeks of our senior year we are required to do an internship, which is a great push in the right direction.

College Sophomore

Majors: Anyone can be accepted into the Retail Merchandising and Product Development Program at FSU. It is an open major.

Drug Safety: Drugs are a big part of college in general. Most kids only use weed and alcohol. Peer pressure is there but not overbearing. You can definitely have a god time without these drugs.

Campus Housing: On campus housing is great for the first year to meet new people and stuff, but the off campus options are much cheaper and are still really close to campus.

Health & Safety: The new health building is beautiful and convenient. Theres a dentist now on campus even. Safety is another issue. There s a lot of crime in Tally.

Off-Campus Dining: So many great local options like Momo's "where the pizza slices are bigger than you head!"

4 College Senior

Diversity: There are a lot of political groups to be a part of as well as ethnic groups and LGBT groups.

Nightlife: No words can explain the party and clubbing scene up here. Un-matched.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: I live in a pretty expensive off campus option that is very near campus. There are a lot of further options with very low rent.

4 College Senior

Transportation: The FSU bus system is very convienient when having to go across campus. I haven't had the chance to ride the tallahassee bus system but Ive heard ok things about it. Night nole is a life saver.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Hello!! We are the National champions. FSU has some of the best sports in the country!!

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Its a big university so its impossible to keep everyone in line. The campus police are ten times better than TPD.

4 College Senior

Weather: The weather in Tallahassee is quite unpredictable. It gets very cold in the winter and the spring is very nice. I love the weather here.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I wouldnt go out on a run alone. ever

Greek Life: If you have a rich family where mommy and daddy pay for everything greek life is for you. If the cost is a problem dont even consider it here at fsu

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Obviously there is peer pressure but i have never seen anyone on campus being that stupid

4 College Freshman

Weather: You get all of the seasons its great

3 College Freshman

Computers: If you find one and have some change for printing, youre good to go

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Its small old and gross in the dorms, unless you are lucky and get one of the good ones but so far i have only seen one good dorm, I would go straight to apartment

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I havent seen any issues but I do hear stories, and I know that just like anywhere else if you are caught with underage drinking there is no tolerance

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The bus stop where I live is outside of the gates down the road which is inconvenient, the complex does have gates but randomly charges for things that were not asked for and its just not fair.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was a process and I am so thankful for any money that I can get, but I wish I could find out ways to get more before i have to start applying for loans

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Things can get a bit pricey, and the starbucks and chickfila off of Tennessee gets very backed up which puts the line out in the street.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
