Greek Life: I am not a member of greek life, but my best friend is in a sorority. There are enough houses on campus to house everyone who rushes; thus, the only way that you wouldn't get into a sorority is if you request to go to places that don't request you. From what I can ascertain, acceptance into a sorority/fraternity depends a lot upon self awareness. Don't just request top tier places for namesake. Request the places that you felt a genuine connection with, where you really hit it off with the members, where you can see yourself in the future. Pledging a sorority or fraternity is an investment that entails the rest of your college career; make sure that you are pledging for the right reasons.

Athletics: If there's anything you can say about Florida State: it's that they like their football. I am not a football fan, but it's very easy to get swept up by the never ending war chant of the florida state seminole. The facilities at the leach and wellness center are great, there is always ample opportunity to remain in shape. If you measure the quality of your college experience by the performance of a football team, this is the school for you.

Majors: I love the School of Theater. It's truly like being apart of one giant family. Yes, it does have it's faults. There is an inclination to squelch the performance opportunities for the B.A's; yet, this program still manages to persevere. There is so much student theater and self-created work occurring, that there is literally no way to miss a performance opportunity. This is a program that will give unconditionally if you make yourself available. The technical and managerial training is absolutely phenomenal, and the performance classes (although spare) are some of the greatest opportunities for growth available.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have not taken part in any internship.

Health & Safety: I say it's great because I have yet to be in a situation necessitating an interaction with campus PD. Whenever I feel unsafe, I can call the safe-bus and have them take me to my dorm. Everytime a threat occurs, i am alerted via text message from FSU alerts. It all boils down to being smart: do not put yourself in a situation where you feel that your personal safety might be compromised. There are parts of Tallahassee that might warrant some alarm at certain times of night...so don't be there! Travel with friends, have pepper spray, take a self defense class, be smart about your own personal safety.

Transportation: The buses are convenient; yet, there are only two buses dedicated to each line. If one bus is out of service, this can lead to a somewhat cramped situation. So many students live off campus, that bus rides can become cramped in the process. Having a car is a great convenience if you want to see what the city has to offer, I would not recommend using it daily to commute to school (parking is an absolute nightmare).

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing will always be a sacrifice. Are you willing to sacrifice price for location? The apartments closer to campus tend to be smaller, pricier, and (sometimes) not the best maintained. If you can afford the price, live in the some of the newer complexes. I will always recommend renting a house. Houses are less expensive, and tend to have more going for them.

Academics: It's what you make of it. If you go to class and study, it's great. If you don't, then you can't expect to learn anything.

Greek Life: If you are into greek life, it will be wonderful. If you aren't, you won't be affected by it.

Majors: The engineering program at FSU is great. Although the college of engineering is shared with FAMU, there are still many great teachers and many resources.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Relatively easy as long as you study and pass your classes.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Very easy to be seen by a doctor, however they are not the best.

Local Atmosphere: Plenty of things to do but there could be better food.

Athletics: Great football team, lots of intramural sports to participate in.

Academics: My major at FSU is the top program in the nation and I can understand why. The classes are very interesting and the professors are all great teachers that have contributed to the criminology field. There are also an abundance of internship opportunites that help you gain experience for when you graduate.

Majors: The internship I participated in was unpaid but I did receive college credit for it. It was a good experience and I made future references from the internship as well as experience in the career field I want to enter.

Athletics: Students are very supportive of our varsity sports. There are also big turnouts for the games and practically defines our college experience. The athletic facilities are very very very nice but just never seems big enough for the amount of traffic it receives.

1 College Senior

Drug Safety: EVERYONE drinks and if you don't, you don't go out and enjoy the social life with other FSU students.

3 College Senior

Weather: The only time the weather is a problem is when it rains and you are trying to walk to class on campus.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many different choices from cheap to expensive. It's great that there are local restuarants so you can try something different and there are also the usual fast food places and chain restuarants. Also, near the school most of the dining options stay open later than regular operating hours to accomodate students who stay out at night.

3 College Senior

Transportation: The shuttles on and off-campus are free and are helpful to students who don't want to drive to campus. However, it is a long wait and not always reliable which makes it difficult for students to arrive to class on time or make the most of their time throughout the day.

3 College Senior

Diversity: There are students from all different races with diverse perspectives at FSU.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: Many amenities are offered but because there are so many students it is difficult to take advantage of them.

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Professors are very strict on the honor policy.
