Off-Campus Housing: You get what you pay for. The newer complexes are awesome but outrageously expensive.

2 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: There's not much to do off campus.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Noticed it a little more as I've gotten older but didn't notice my first two years.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Some older buildings (Salley, Smith, Dorman) should be re built but there was dorms (Wildwood) built 5 years ago and have continued to be built. New dorms under construction, and the new wellness center (health and new mini gym) is conveniently located as well as food options.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I think our campus is pretty safe and there are police that roam normally, but they are not stocking students either. We just got a brand new health center (with a mini health gym inside) that is beyond beautiful and is reasonably convenient!

3 College Senior

Parking: On-campus parking in the garages and whatnot are pretty hard to find a spot in, but there are lots of metered spots around the edge of campus, and off-street parking too so it is really never a problem.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Well we just won the National Football Championship so that was huge. Baseball and basketball are pretty important. Intramural's are pretty important as well, I'd guess that a majority part of the student body is involved in some kind of sports activities.

5 College Senior

Nightlife: The best party scene (obviously). Many, many bars and clubs for very cheap, or free for girls usually. Underage nightlife isn't an issue because the bars and clubs are mostly 18+, only a few are 21+. Taxis are cheap and if you hang out with fraternities they have pledges almost always because pledging starts in the beginning of the semester and ends when they are initiated at the end of it.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: Although the office can be a long wait to talk to on the phone, they are always very helpful with anything you need to know. I got federal pell grants and a few federal loans as well as a private scholarship which all went over smoothly through FSU and was transferred to me each semester.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Plenty of places to choose from and can be extremely reasonable ($500/month with utilities) or you can go big and get a brand new place which are shooting up every year.

5 College Senior

Transportation: Absolutely no need for campus transportation, any point is basically walking distance from another point on campus. Even local transportation isn't dire and local options such as zip cars (located on campus), FSU bus system, Tallahassee bus systems, and taxis are all very convenient around the city.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: There are countless places to eat on and off campus, plenty of events on and off campus (Flying High Circus is one of a kind) as well as our sports programs notably FSU football, we have a nice little downtown area and some cute boutiques around town

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Generally a lot of pretty girls. A lot of them don't wear much clothing around campus.

Majors: FSU has a lot of options with my major. I do believe I will do big things with my degree.

Majors: For my program, Information Technology, everyone is accepted into the program as long you completed required classes.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The policies are enforced and big punishments if they are broken

5 College Freshman

Athletics: A lot of intramural sports and football is a big part of the school and community.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: The majority of the students are white, however, there are not much prejudice on the campus. For the most part, people are "color blind."

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Many ethinic/social groups, very accepting.

Campus Strictness: Never had a bad experience.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Variety of students and an overall acceptance by the entire student body. Never saw much clashing between different groups.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I was not a part of Greek life.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Lots of variety but still lacking in a few areas.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Good experience but didn't prepare me as much as I'd liked.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Great across the board with both mens and womens sports.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
