Campus Housing: Pretty Good Freshman Experience in Salley Hall – The school has done a good job refurbishing and building new dorms. I lived in Salley Hall my freshman year, and although it's not not new, it wasn't bad at all. There are a few I've been in however that are not very nice to say the least.

Academics: Marketing Program Is Lacking – There are a few good marketing professors, but most of them are old and boring. Many of the classes I wanted to take weren't available because the college didn't have the money to offer them. I was able to minor in Hospitality and Communications and the coursework of each went towards my marketing degree. The building is pretty outdated although there are talks that a new building is in the works. Career services at the school is excellent though.

Campus Strictness: Expectation of Being Mature Adults – FSU is not strick. Though they do expect students to abide by the student rule book and of course any other law established by the government. The campus expects students to follow the rules while at school as well as during any time spent away from the school grounds.

Campus Dining: Feels Like Your in the World of Harry Potter – My campus offers a variety of selction for dining to cater to the different perferences of students. The dinning halls are also beautiful . One of them even resembles the Great Hall in the Harry Potter films, allowing student to feel enchanted while they eat.

Academics: FSU offers a wide selction of classes for students. Students are given the opportunity to take course towards their major but are also offered the opportunity to branch out and explore other areas of interest.

Transportation: Bus Routes – There are bus routes at all the student housing facilities. This is because students are urged to take public transportation to school. Finding parking is a nightmare unless you get to school way early. Luckily they have a great bus route for this reason.

3 College Junior

Parking: So there are many parking garages and places to park, the school is seriously huge, but you have to get to school like an hour early if you want to find parking and not be late for class. For my first day of class I had to get there two hours early because if you don't show up the first day you're automatically dropped. So literally everyone shows up on the first day. It can be very hectic.

Facilities: School Gym (Leech Center) – This is the campus gym. It's three stories!! It's amazing, they have everything from an indoor olympic sized pool, to an indoor running track. I love this place. If you were to get a membership at this kind of gym it would up costing you a pretty penny. However, the Leech center is free for all FSU students!!

Greek Life: I am not part of a sorority but there houses are beautiful and they look like they have a lot of fun. I' considering pledging actually.

5 College Junior

Computers: We have Apple computers, need I say more? There amazing and computers are everywhere with high speed internet and printers. The whole campus and city really, is geared towards students needs.

5 College Junior

Academics: Political Science – It's a fantastic major to have here at Florida State because it's in the State's capital and there are many internship programs available for serious students. Also the actual capital is very welcoming and offers tours and a beautiful panoramic view of all of Tallahassee from atop the capital.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Student Housing – It's everywhere. Everything is geared towards students. The entire town revolves around FSU, it's incredible.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Cultural Events – There is much culture in Tallahassee. Just down the street from campus is the State Capital and the old State Capital which is now a museum. You are free to look around in both. Just the other day I saw the House of Representatives and the Senate Chambers.

5 College Junior

Academics: Registration Process – FSU offers a very easy registration process and are there with you 100% all the way to make sure you get everything you need and find everything you need. They offer a great full day orientation which includes a tour of the school. They just really care about the students there, it's refreshing.

Guys & Girls: Doesnt Get Any Hotter – All of the girls here are absolutely beautiful, majority of the guys are gorgeous. People are extremely vain and looks are more important here than anywhere I've ever been before. I am in greek life and I'd have to say, life in Tallahassee is straight out of the movies. Social life is top notch, but serious relationships are far and few between. If you are looking for a certain type of girl or guy, we have groups from southern belles to sofla princesses... pick your poison.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Not the Best – Off campus dining is cheap but there is not a plethura of choices. My all time favorites would have to be Robotos, Gordos and Jasmines.

4 College Junior

Academics: Tough as Nails – accounting is a tough major, although with enough time put in, you deffinitely get what you deserve. Internship opportunities are immense and it is a prestigious major to graduate with at an amazing university. I would highly reccommend.

College Freshman

Scholarships: Process Was Smooth – The financial aid process was easy and accomodating.
I received a good amount of financial aid, all though due to funds running short could not receive enough to cover the eexpenses that I was hoping for.

Academics: Great University – I came to FSU after much research about their pre-med and med program. They have one of the top. Registration and orientation were a breeze with all of the available help from fellow students, teachers, and staff. I look forward to the next four years here!

Diversity: Diversity is not only accepted in Florida State University, but it is encouraged and celebrated. The university makes sure that all people have equal employment, opportunities and policies pertaining to them. The campus is welcoming, a bit close-knit and friendly. For example, the month of May is known as Asian-Pacific Islander month. It is then that diversity is celebrated. It is also the month that Japanese immigrants arrived to the United States and the transcontinental railroad was completed with the help of many Chinese laborers. Apart from the administrations goals to spread and maintain diversity, the campus has people of all different races, backgrounds, and abilities.

Athletics: Huge Seminole Spirit – Any kind of sport really is taken seriously at Florida State University -- but none are bigger than football. The stadium is always packed to bursting at any home games, and it can be assured that the students follow our team on the road. No matter how far, how fast, there is always a trail of garnet and gold following closely behind.

Academics: So Far, So Good – At of all the colleges I applied to, Florida State University was the only one to offer my major: Creative Writing. And so far -- I really can't say much, since it's only been my first year -- it's been excellent. The instructors have been encouraging and really helpful in pointing out the flaws in my work, and it's been a blast. They've gone above and beyond the call of duty and have allowed me to stay in contact with them if I have a story needing some professional opinion on.

3 College Senior

Weather: Florida Winter – Extremely windy and cold compared to the other regions of Florida, but when the summer comes it is even hotter than Miami as there is no coast near by to provide an ocean breeze

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: Your Choice. Alcohol and drugs are always easy to find in any demographic of young people, but there is rarely pressure at FSU parties. Campus police and officials take drug and alcohol use very seriously, and do take action.

4 College Senior

Academics: The professors at FSU are all extremely qualified in every way possible. They have vast experience working in their fields as well as in educating, and they spread their gained knowledge to the classroom. They are usually on point with curriculum.
