Off-Campus Housing: I currently live off campus and the convenience to get to campus is excellent! There is a bus that picks up students every 20 minutes. The cost could be cheaper, the landlords are decent, it would be nicer if they weren't so lazy, and actually did their job remotely correctly. Parking is average, there should be more spots in front of everyones apartments. The safety is iffy, it's Tallahassee there is crimes all over the city

Overall Experience: Student Activities, Variety – There is always an activity or an event to participate in on campus, student life is booming. There is lots of free food and fun performers, and also respected speakers.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Buses, Convenience – They are good about sticking to their schedules and its included in your tuition.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Fountain and Trees, Enjoyable Landscaping – There's lots of greenery on campus which is nice, and we a encouraged to occupy it and use it however we please. The only drawback is the bad smell that comes from the powerhouse of campus, it smells like pure pollution.

2 College Student

Diversity: Too Many Undeserving Ethnic Students – FSU makes every effort in getting racial diversity, even if it means accepting people that are not college material.

Parking: If you are going to be getting to campus earlier than 8:30am you might be able to find a half-decent parking spot, but after 9am there is no way to get a spot unless you spend at least 30 minutes looking for one. Also, if you are trying to find parking at night, you are allowed to park in the teacher areas after 5pm, but be warned if you don't move your car by 7:30am the next morning you will be ticketed and/or towed. The fines for parking used to be $20 if it was a tag violation, but they are upping the fines. The best plan is if you are able to take the bus to campus to do so.

Facilities: The libraries at Florida State are great and really student friendly. The main library is open 24 hours from Sunday at noon until Friday at six, and the science library is open until 2am on the weekdays. Outside of the large number of computers available, there are also smart rooms you can check out to study with a group in, and plenty of other devices to check out such as laptops, headphones, even a Wii you can use in a smart room.

Campus Dining: Fresh Food Vs. Suwannee Room – The Fresh Food company in my opinion serves fresher food than at the Suwannee Room. I have heard other opinions but I believe that the food and the general atmosphere is better at Fresh Food. Our other campus eateries such as Starbucks, Papa John's and Subway create a great variation that one can never be bored enjoying.

Parking: There's Always the Bus – Permits are free, which is great; however, parking can be very difficult. You will probably be able to find a spot, but not anywhere near your class unless it's early morning or late afternoon. There are buses that run from early morning until 7 pm. They will take you to and from, and also around, campus. Probably not the best, but definitely not the worst transportation situation.

Computers: Average- Excellent Quality Overall – As for wireless access, the connection works great except during midterm and finals week when it get overloaded. There are lots of computers and printers available for use around campus. Also, we have Digital Studios, which are awesome, because you can go in and get help with any digital project or program.

Greek Life: Greek Is Where Its at – Greek life is huge at FSU. It is a lot of fun. I highly recommend pledging.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Don't Get Caught – FSU will ticket you if you are drinking underage. You will get kicked out of school if you get caught selling drugs. Don't do illegal stuff in dorms

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: It Is Average – It is safe for the most part. FSU has its own police. Try to keep everyone safe

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So Glad I Came – I would never want to go to another school. I love FSU and all that it has to offer. FSU is the greatest school in the world

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Teachers Are Good – Teachers are helpful as well as very knowledgeable. A lot of them have at least a masters in their subject. Business school is very popular.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I Am So Happy – The FSU business school is you of the best in the country. Teachers are helpful and experienced in their field. If you apply yourself you will be ok

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Tallahassee Is a Cool Town – Tallahassee is a cool town but is boring when school is out. It is the capitol so you have political building you can go to.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Girls Are Amazing – FSU is one of the most attractive schools in the country. We are known for how attractive we are. Come here and you will be amazed

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are a lot of options to get to school. The buses run all day. Try not to drive to campus because parking is horrible

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports Are Awesome – FSU has a bunch of really popular and successful sports. Football is the most popular sport. I would recommend going to games.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Live Off Campus – Dorms are good to meet people but I would recommend living off campus after your first year. There are a bunch of good places to live. I would recommend west 10.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking is free for FSU students as long as you have a tag. But it is very hard to find parking spots during the school week. If you park in the wrong spot you will get a ticket or towed.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Dorms Are Old – Living on campus is a great way to meet people, especially if you are a freshman. Most of the dorms are big and there is plenty of room. But most of them are old so it can mess up your allergies .

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The Stadium Is Awesome – The football stadium is the biggest building on campus and everyone who sees it is in awe of how massive it is in size. The rest of the buildings are cool as well. All the buildings are big and are made of brick which gives the campus a awesome feel.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: The Social Scene – FSU is a huge school and there is many opportunities to get involved in all types of forums. Greek Life is very popular here, and there are organizations catering to almost every interest. There is always something going on here and always a party to go to.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
