Campus Dining: Love It – the food is good, the servers learn your face and what food you like to eat. the staff is always cheerful. FSU dining does a wonderful job!

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Good Food, Long Walks – I have a dining hall pretty close to the dorm that I'm staying in, however, if I wanted to visit another dining hall, I'd have to walk for 15 minutes over some hilly terrain. The food quality is great and the lunch ladies are super friendly, but the places that count for my meal plan are far apart!

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Buses Are Great, Safe Bus Too – The public transportation is great here. I only wish I took more advantage of it. The Safe Bus at night is a great, and for lack of better words- 'safe' route to take instead of walking at night.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Pretty Diverse Group – I don't only include race as diversity, I consider opinions on certain issues and involvement a huge factor in determining diversity of a school. Being very involved on campus, I would have to say the opinions, political beliefs, and sexual orientation are what make FSU most diverse and that is why I love this school so much.

Campus Dining: Great Service, Pretty Good Food – I enjoyed having a meal plan last year- it was convenient. But I found I got sick of the food that was prepared. Everyone who worked there was very friendly though.

2 College Junior

Campus Dining: Price Is Right – The dining on campus is convenient between classes but the prices is out of control. It can be get very expensive so it is best to get the meal plan. It is a variety of food on campus an the menus great.

Diversity: Well everything on campus is pretty lively it is different type of race, people from around the world attend my school. Therefore with the students being a different race its obviously they will have different backgrounds. Most of choose are base on the student beliefs.

Greek Life: It is a Greek school everyone live in there own world. People live where ever they can afford honestly. The college to offer college dorms but i choose to live with my parents and save money.

Facilities: Beautiful and It Keeps Getting Better. Most of the facilities on campus have been renovated and look gorgeous.
All of the building are brick, and it has the appearance of an old, distinguished university. There are several new building, all of which are stunning, inside and out. The school is constantly working to maintain and improve the campus, and it surely is one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation.
There are also state of the art gyms, recreation centers, computer labs, and a fantastic movie theater, all free for students.
The libraries are outstanding, and so is everything else.

Campus Dining: Usually Pretty Good, Sometimes It Falls Short – On most days, the food at both dining halls on campus is great. You can tell the food is good quality, and they have a lot of variety.

Sometimes, however, the cooks might accidentally cook the food too long, or put a little too much salt. This isn't a common problem though.

As far as nutritional value goes, all the food is seemingly well balanced, with nutrition labels put out for every meal. The only problem is sodium, which is high. For a college student, this isn't a big concern, as everything we eat has mountains of sodium, but occasionally, it might seem outrageous, like a 1500 mg of sodium sun dried tomato pasta dish.

The meal plans on campus are a good value as well.

Local Atmosphere: Tallahassee Has It All – Whatever your into, you can find it at FSU and in Tallahassee.
Tallahassee has it all, concert venues, night clubs, great locally owned college pig-out restaurants, beautiful parks, including a national forest minutes outside city limits, shopping malls, Lots of school and city clubs/organizations to join, movie theaters for students, rock climbing gym, arts festivals, food festivals, and much, much more.

The local attitude towards students is outstanding. They treat you with respect and decency, and so far while living in this city, i have yet to encounter an unpleasant person. Its almost unbelievable.

Off-Campus Housing: They Are All the Same – At the end of the day all the places are all the same. Expensive, some look better than others, some have pools, some have courts, some have frat houses but ALL the managements swindle you and treat you like you're dumb just because you are a college kid.

4 College Senior

Majors: Pretty Happy – Like my program. Counselors aren't terrible. Would definitively do it over again. Plan on being a sports psychologist. Have some concerns considering it isn't the biggest field on the market.

3 College Senior

Majors: Easy Enough – The Psych program has set milestones in which you have to hit. When you hit them, declare your major and boom, youre enrolled

Facilities: The facilities at FSU are top-notch. The gym is colossal (complete with olympic sized swimming pool) and offers free personal training and all kinds of yoga and kick-boxing classes for all levels of experiences. The library is open 24/7 and offers everything from books to smart rooms to music and DVDs to laptops (available for you to rent!) There also just so happens to be a 24/7 Starbucks located within the library itself. Doake Campbell Stadium is the crowning jewel, it looks like Hogwarts. The place is massive, brick, and exceptionally awesome.

Health & Safety: I Mean...They Try – FSU means well. They really do want to keep you safe, but Tallahassee can be a pretty trying place at times. There are robberies, vandalism, and the occasional stabbing. (All of those things occured during my first year there.) But these things, how ever horrible they may be, they happen. So be safe, lock your cars and doors and avoid going any where alone.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Hit or Miss – As far as girls and guys are concerned, there is something out there for everone. If you like trampy sorostitutes, you will find them. If you want a good, clean christian boy, look no further than FSU. It just depends on who or what you are interested in.
P.S. all of the super attractive people like to play frisbee in their bathing suits, if anything you can people watch.

Weather: It Has Potential – Like most places, Tallahassee has its good days, and its bad ones. When the sun is out, there could not be a better place to be. The air is crisp and clean and hardly ever muggy.
However beware the rainy winter; it works in a cycle. It will be pleasantly cool outside, the next day it will rain, and the day after that will be freezing (as far as Floridians are concerned) hence the minus in my grade

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Ups and Downs – Financial aid was pretty good until this year. My award amounts got smaller and smaller every year. The people working in the Financial Aid office were also incredibly rude, slow, and unhelpful.

3 College Senior

Majors: The Psychology program at FSU is pretty well rated. Unfortunately, many of the classes you're required to take for it are repetitive; they all overlap. On the bright side, this makes most of your classes extremely easy by the time you're a junior.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Circus & Opera – FSU has its own circus and a rather good opera program!

4 College Senior

Athletics: Go 'Noles! Most people at FSU are way into sports. The football games are campus-wide events that involve pretty much everyone. We're especially good at baseball and football, and I think we've been improving every year. FSU is great for sports lovers!

Campus Dining: Nasty and Unhealthy – The on campus food places, such as Papa Johns, Salad creations and Pollo Tropical are fabulous and not too expensive for college students. The problem is with the meal plan buffet style restaurants. The Suwannee room and Fresh Foods are unhealthy, repetitive, and have a low selection of foods. They specifically make foods that the student don't like so that the workers don't have to serve. It is disappointing to go into the cafeteria and find buffet style questionable seafood and processed grey chicken.

Health & Safety: Don't Walk Alone – I find walking around FSU's campus at night to be nerve wrecking. On campus isn't so bad but never walk off campus by yourself. I actually witnessed someone almost getting their purse stollen while waiting for at a bus stop across the street from my dorm. Also, It is very easy to get into a dorm building even without a key so keep windows and doors locked at all times.

Weather: Tallahassee Has Seasons – Coming from Orlando, It is always hot and there is no escaping the heat, but in Tallahassee there are actually seasons. It does get cold in the winter but for the most part, it is usually sunny and warm like Florida should be. Tallahassee has beautiful blue skies and it rarely rains there.
