Athletics: Sports Are Good – Sports are a huge part of the student life here. The only problem is the huge rivalry between University of Florida and FSU.

3 College Junior

Academics: Large Workload – There is so much to do with this major! The professors are very helpful but I feel that the workload is extremely high. You definitely need your own transportation for this major, especially if you live off campus. It is very difficult to work and have this major.

Campus Housing: Water , Old – The water that comes out of the faucets has way too much calcium. Also, the Freshman Housing and cheaper housing options are very depressing. Upperclassman dorms can be better, depending on which you choose.

Transportation: The shuttles are awesome! They take you everywhere you need to go on campus and places near campus. I almost never use my car.

Parking: The Parking here is pretty terrible. The best lots which are far away from any classes still take for ever. I would have to get on campus 1.5 hours before my class to wait to get a parking spot. It takes for ever to find a spot. Word to the wise.........catch the bus!!!!!

Guys & Girls: They Are Generally Decent Looking – They usually appear dressed on campus in attire that make you want to look at them. For the most part they all have tans and long hair. I am talking about the girls. They come in all shapes and sizes tall, short, skinny, thick but they are generally attractive. They all love to party!

Off-Campus Housing: There is a wide variety of housing options, and the differences between them are greatly noticible.

Majors: Great Advisors and Instructors – I'm a psychology major, and I always make use of the college advisors to make sure I'm on track to getting my degree on time. I've had some really great instructors who are always available to help you with course material, getting involved in research, and finding internships.

Parking: Spots Fill up Quickly – Parking on campus fills up quickly. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find a parking spot so you can make it to class on time

Diversity: ALL GREEK! It seemed every single person I bumped into was white and either in a sorority or fraternity. Most of the people at FSU are not my kind of people.

Scholarships: Fairly Easy – receiving financial aid was easy, and the office of financial aid was pretty helpful with that process. I suggest staying on top of your financial aid and payments.

Diversity: Plenty of Everything – My school definitely covers the spectrum in every aspect of diversity. All races, interests, political parties, religions, economic backgrounds, and sexual orientations are present and accepted.

Off-Campus Dining: Could Be Better – While I've often taken advantage of the off-campus dining options because of the convenience, price, and availability, the choices themselves are not stellar. Being a vegan (I do not eat any animal products), I've often struggled to find substantial meals around campus outside of my own kitchen. Also, while the food is decent quality, it would be good to have more options that are not just greasy fast food.

Drug Safety: It Depends Where Your Looking – Tallahasee has a fairly large centralized population that is made up of alot of college age people. With that said, it would be undeniable to say there inst a decent amount of drug abuse that goes on here at FSU. With that said if your not looking for drugs and hangout with responsible individuals, it is most likely that your safety will NOT be infringed upon for anything drug realted.

Off-Campus Dining: The Freshman 15 Is Forreal – There are a ton of options very close to FSU. There is a variety of cuisines that vary in price rang. Typically the closer you are to campus the more cheap fast food type places are available.

Facilities: Getting Fit Made Easy – The universities athletic centers are top notch. Whether your into swimming, running, or weightlifting all of these activities can be done under one roof. The Leach center is a one stop shop for fitness and it is regularly renovated and has very good hours. If your not into working out then FSU still has nice facilities for soccer, golf, tennis, baseball, and flag football.

Scholarships: Very Average – There are a few scholarships available but they are highly competitive. The financial aid office is usually helpful, but their hours could be better.

Campus Dining: Hungry? No Problem. There are a number of places around campus to find food. The food of the highest quality and greatest variety is located at the Student Union. Once you branch further away from the union, your options are still good within a short walking distance to many off campus establishments that serve a variety of options for food.

Diversity: During my time at FSU, I made friends with different people from all over the world. My classmates were diverse, and racial issues never really surfaced. It was easy to make friends by joining any one of the many student organizations. I myself was interested in learning Chinese. I joined the ASU, co-founded the CLCA, and before I knew it I was on an airplane to China!

Guys & Girls: Hope You Like Football – Many of our guys are huge sports fans. There is a huge population of frat boys and sorority girls. The nerd culture does have it's influence and there are many political students, but the overwhelming majority of guys I've me are just sports buffs.

Transportation: Get Out Your Walking Shoes – Though we do have a pretty awesome bus schedule, the heat of Florida often means it will take half as long to walk to class. There is a night bus service and campus isn't that difficult once you know the layout. There are hills, but it's nothing extreme.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Pretty Good – There are some good places to go but after a short while it gets pretty old. Younger girls trying to slink into clubs is also annoying.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There's really not much going on in tallahasee and I wish there were more events

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: I play club soccer for FSU. The facilities are nice

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Laid back. No pressure. Good professors. Good advisors
