Health & Safety: Campus Is SAFE – The campus is really great and safe. My only complaint is just outside of campus can be scary and has a lot of crime.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Great History, Poor Parking. Everything's great but the parking. The exterior of the buildings are far nicer than the interior, however. Overall it's a great campus with a lot of history.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial Aid has foundation scholarships but it only offers it once a year. It would be better if it was offered at least twice a year.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: A Great Atmosphere – FSU is a great school with great students and staff. It is conveniently located in the city of Tallahassee which has a lot to offer for students. FSU also has a lot of fun, free activities for students to do throughout the week such as free movies and concerts.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Used but Not by Everyone – At any college you're going to find kids who use drugs or drink alcohol, but its not necessary in order to have fun. FSU is definitely strict about on-campus drinking and usage of drugs, especially in some dorm halls.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: You're bound to find at least one parking spot on campus, but there is no telling how close or far it will be from your class. Usually, the main campus garage and gym parking lot fill up the fastest. It can be irritating hunting around for a spot, especially when it is on the opposite side of where you need to be on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Cheap but Far Food – There aren't discounts at food places for Florida State students, although many of the places that are available for students to eat at aren't too expensive. There are a lot of cheap and quick places around campus for students to eat at, but there aren't many choices directly on campus if you're looking for a quick bite right before class. Everything is a bit of a walk and most dining places are off campus.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Buses Are Great – FSU has a really good bus system. The busses go all throughout the campus and come almost every 10 minutes. Sometimes a little longer or a little quicker depending the time of day. They are dependable to take to class without having to worry about being on time. It is also free for any students to take and there are many easy to find bus stops.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: There are many computers in the libraries and the computer lab for students to use at anytime during the day. They get really crowded during exam weeks but other than that you can usually find a computer to use. There is WIFI almost everywhere so a lot of students bring laptops with them to campus. The internet works well and is reliable for getting work done and socializing.

Academics: The classes are different. Any teacher can throw out an assignment and claim that you can learn from the experience, but professors at Florida State always stress the importance of learning over fancy essays and credit. With all of the clubs, student groups, leadership opportunities, and study abroad scholarships, Florida State offers many different unique ways to build experience and learn hands-on. There is also many ways to receive help outside of class with ACE tutoring and study groups.

Drug Safety: Definitely a Party School – FSU's police force, SGA, and other organizations do less to inhibit the partying that is inevitable on a top 10 party school and do more to educate students of partying unsafely. Safe bus and Night Nole are provided for those who do not have a DD.

Overall Experience: Exactly What I Wanted – I have always wanted to attend Florida State but attending college can be scary even if it's where you wanted to go. Florida State's generous attitude and engaging campus made being away from home so easy. With such a rich history, it's hard not to enjoy the spirit that comes with attending this highly-respected university. There is so much tradition and pride, it's hard not to become enthusiastic and be proud of your school. Football games are awesome, parties are awesome, libraries and tutoring make it easy to catch up if you get too off-track, and there are plenty of clubs and organizations for all of those in-between a partier and a scholar.

Campus Housing: A Place for Everyone – Housing at Florida State is so popular, that many freshman must be put on a waiting list. Even the older facilities have something to offer- a fun and social environment. The newer facilities are usually for upper-classmen but offer more space and still very close proximity to classes. SGA does a large part to invest in residence hall-wide events catered for students who live on campus.

Athletics: Everybody gets into the varsity sports at FSU. We have a long history of tradition. Even people not involved in sports can join our student boosters and get guaranteed tickets to all home games and discounts on away games. We have many great facilities and even a dining hall for student-athletes- though all students may tour the facilities and use the dining hall. Besides varsity sports, we have many club sports and intramural sports students can join. Club and intramural sports are very popular and all students can join.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Not Too Bad – There is a heavy police presence on campus, but as long as you arent being stupid and making a fool of yourself you wont get in trouble.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Excellent Psychology Program – I think the psychology program here at FSU is great. There are many different fields of study, and many opportunities to take part in studies and advance in the field. From my experience all of the teachers and advisors are more than willing to help you

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Relatively Safe – Although there is some criminal activity that occurs on campus at night, there are many options for safe transportation on campus, as well as around the city

1 College Freshman

Parking: Its Impossible – it is almost impossible to find parking,
some people take 45 minutes

3 College Freshman

Computers: It Can Get Crowded – during rush hours its very hard to get a computer to print stuff,
I advice having your own laptop

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Punishments Can Be Tough – but only if you do something really dumb,
stay safe, and be smart about what you do
and nothing is illegal until you get caught

Guys & Girls: There Are Pretty Good Looking People – There are pretty good looking people,
depending on your taste,
if you like blonde hair, blue eyes, then you're good

Transportation: Free Buss Shuttles at a Ton of Locations – The bus drivers are very friendly and the ride is free. There are a ton of locations to be picked up and dropped off. Very convenient service.

5 College Junior

Majors: It's one of the more relaxed audition processes I've had. Not that I was relaxed. But generally everyone is very easy going. They don't stress you out at all. You and your audition group warm up with a couple BFAs. And then you're divided into rooms where one of the BFA professors will watch you do your two pieces. And then he or she may give you a direction or two. And then the call back sheet goes up which will have 20 or so names on it. If you're called back, you get to do your pieces for all the teachers and the BFA students. And then they'll ask you a couple questions. And send you on your way.

5 College Junior

Majors: I love my program. I can't speak for the BA program. But the BFA program is tight! Check it out if you want to pursue Acting.

5 College Junior

Athletics: F*****' Incrdible – I mean, come on now... It's Florida State University! Go Noles!!!!
