3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I do not know how off campus housing is in Melbourne. I am an online student.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is way better at FIT because it actually is less expensive than living on-campus. But, the university makes it required to live on campus for 2 years.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are options that people are familiar with but not happy with. They charge high application and "administrative" fees and then increase the rent prices before the semesters start so they can get more money from students.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: They make sure we have the best apartment available to us.

5 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: I found an apartment online before I even visited the area. Then I confirmed with the school over the phone that the place was indeed close-by and decent. They even admitted over 50% of the students live off-campus because it is cheaper. I like my apartment. It's clean, safe, and quiet in a nice environment, and built in 2006 so everything is relatively modern and new, including all appliances and there is laundry hookup in the apartment. It's called Legacy At Hibiscus Park, and I notice other students live here too but there is a nice mix of all ages/nationalities.
