Drug Safety: Drug safety is ok here. It seems like if you get caught get in little trouble.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: With the campus being surrounded by wetlands, there's reasons why people use weed. It's not a big deal, but you'll get kicked off campus if you get caught with it in a room search.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: The school enforces no alcohol or drug participation and students comply.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: It's only there if you look for it, and won't force itself on you.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I haven't been offered any sort of drug. and hope that continues.

At Florida Gulf Coast University, if people want to do drugs, they can find them as long as they know where to go. The school, on the other hand, does have a zero-tolerance policy on drugs. The dorms have strict rules about underage drinking. Mostly, the drug scene is popular amongst the guys and takes place off campus. People do like to get high, but most people are heavy drinkers, many being kicked out of clubs for drinking. You are bound to find a stoner or an alcoholic somewhere on campus.

If someone wants to do drugs and have the "college experience," there are "parties" on and off campus where you just have to know people who do them and know where to go. While you don't have to party or do drugs to enjoy your time at FGCU, the University has the reputation of being a "party school." But like any other college or university, there will be parties, drinking, and drug use—just like in the real world.
