"Nightlife" at Florida College has a completely different meaning than it would at most other schools. Drinking and dancing are considered unacceptable behaviors at FC and are liable for automatic suspension. FC students won't be found in the city bars and clubs, nor will alcohol be found at any of the parties on campus. Those who wish to get off campus to have fun for a couple of hours before curfew might choose to hang out at Starbucks or a nearby park.
To an FC student, a party means getting together with friends for food and games, and maybe ending the time together with a prayer and/or singing a few hymns. While the rules and moral standards of the school may seem restraining to most college students, they do not keep FC students from having fun. On the contrary, most students at FC would take the opinion that a dry party is more enjoyable than one at which alcohol is served, and that playing games together is more pleasurable than dancing. At FC, the fun times do not end when the party is over; students can meet in class the next day or at worship services on Sunday morning and enjoy remembering the jokes and laughter of the evening before, without having the misery of a hangover.
