Drug Safety: I haven't noticed any issues in this area.

Drug Safety: On campus housing provides security against illegal use of drugs and alcohol. The FAU staff is always stressing the drug and free alcohol environment. I remember coming in a s a freshman two years ago, during orientation they set up a small play of scenes we may encounter through out college career. These skits provided insight for new college students, we were able to talk with the staff in the matters too the future and how to handle them. Throughout the year FAU also provides seminars and movie screenings to better inform the college body of the dangers of drugs and alcohol. They gives us the tools and we are able to chose on our own. Not only does my college create informative events, we also have and entire wall of panflits for the shy ones.

Drug Safety: I don't do drugs, I wouldnt' know

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I can safely say that there isn't much of any "drug scene" at FAU. I have never seen anyone smoking anything other than a cigarette in between classes. As for alcohol it's pretty much the same, of course people drink, its college, but there aren't any neanderthals running around campus hammered drunk there aren't many bars on campus so I guess that might have a lot to do with it, no matter it doesn't seem to affect the schools reputation in any negative way.

Drug Safety: I try not to submerge myself in the Drug atmosphere. I'm cautious around it, but a lot of people hide that they do it. It's like the don't ask don't tell unless you want some.

The most noticeable part of the drug scene on campus is smoking cigarettes. A large quantity of students smoke, and you definitely see that the minute you step on campus. Just like almost every other college or university, alcohol and marijuana are prominent. Every night is a party night, and many rarely take a night off. It is rare to meet someone who does not or has not tried smoking pot. The use of more hardcore drugs is kept out of mainstream campus life and is certainly not a noticeable part of campus life.

Although there is a great deal of pot and alcohol, pressure is off. Students do what they want to do and let you do what you want to do. You can still go to parties and not drink and no one will judge you or make you feel inferior. The drug scene is as big as you make it.
