Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere is professional and friendly. There is a shopping mall, grocery, and many other places to go to near the University.

Campus Housing: I do not live in college housing

Campus Dining: The dining halls have fresh salads and wraps. We can also purchase fruit bowls and snacks made out of oats.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many different kinds of restuarants around the school, different pricing areas. There are a few places that do student discounts, but not very many.

Guys & Girls: Im not really one to be in college to make freinds, but the few I do talk to are okay. Most of the people seem to be fairly freindly.

Local Atmosphere: There is good shopping because their is a mall and the beach is close by but the traffic around the school is horrible and the people are alrigh, but mostly stuck up.

Campus Strictness: The school strictness has a healthy balance between students and academic/social life in order to maintain the safety of the students.

For most students, FAU was not their first-choice school. While it is a large school, most students are commuters, and it seems as though almost anyone can be accepted. However, once students arrive on campus, they realize that there are many activities and events to get involved with and that maybe their experience will not be so bad after all.

FAU is an up-and-coming school and is growing in students and facilities every year. However, most students do not plan to attend for their entire college career. Many are just using FAU to get their feet on the ground and to get general education classes out of the way. A huge percent of the student population transfers after two years to a larger, more college-town type of school.
