Most FAMU students have laptops, which they bring to class with them. Having your own computer comes in handy and it’s recommended that you bring one. However, if you don’t have one and can’t afford to buy one, the library and different colleges have computer labs for that students can use. There are enough computers for students the labs throughout the year, but overcrowding and limited computers can come about in the later weeks of final exam time.

Tech support is always hanging around the computer labs in case students need assistance, and they can usually fix computer problems on the spot. The campus network connection is pretty fast. To connect to the network from your own computer, you just have to enter your Rattler ID to log on. Overall, the computers on campus are efficient, have updated software, and the connection speed runs smoothly.
