Campus Dining: The food is good, but the variety is not that great.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The food is ok. There aren't a lot of healthy options. Additionally, the hours are not friendly for athletes. I did not use all of my food credit because of the cafe hours.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The food is not to bad but you just eventually get tired of it. On the weekends, you do not have the easiest access to some place because of the time schedule.

College Junior

Campus Dining: I have not yet experienced on campus dining. I will soon.

Campus Dining: There are not as many choices as it relates to modernized eating venues at a more affordable price . For example, the school could have an on campus shop that only served items that one could eat between meals, these items are only available at the campus bookstore or a vending machine. The vending machines don't carry a great deal of items like eating utensils and ice cream and healthy food options. Also vending machines may not always be working or may not eccept flex bucks. There should be a twenty four hour shop that caters to those who have night classes and cannot make it to the bookstore before it closes and do not have transportation.

FAMU’s Dining Services offers a variety of foods to satisfy the taste buds of every kind of eater. There are multiple places on campus where students can choose to dine. The most popular place to eat is the main cafeteria located upstairs in the student union. The cafeteria offers sections including the hot line, which is the special of the day, a deli, salad bar, cereal bar, dessert bar, vegetarian selections, pizza and pasta, hamburgers and fries, and a hibachi-style grill. The downfall to the cafeteria is that seating is limited. Beneath the cafeteria is the Food Court, which has a KFC, Pizza Hut, and deli. The food served here is the same that would be served at the fast food restaurants. The Food Court usually gets crowded around dinner time; many people dine here because they want something different from the upstairs cafeteria.

Orange Room is in the Commons, and offers Magic Johnson Sub Connection, which serves a variety of sandwiches and wraps, and 155 Grill, where students can order things like hamburgers and fries, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken tenders, and grilled chicken sandwiches. Many students enjoy the food here the most, and you’ll usually find that seats here are filled throughout the day. Jazzman’s Café is hidden away on the second floor of Coleman Library and has limited hours. But students do enjoy Jazzman’s smoothies, refrigerated wraps, and baked goods. Jazzman’s busiest time is in the morning, so go in the afternoon if you want to avoid a long line. Students can use their meal plan at all locations; cash and credit cards are also accepted.
