Off-Campus Housing: I've never lived off-campus, I just based my opinion on what I've heard from others.

Off-Campus Housing: The only downfall to moving off campus is the lack of parking on campus. I read on our website that there are two people on campus for every one parking spot. That seems a little ridiculous to me.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: Some places are shady but rent is usually reasonable.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off campus but I have heard the apartments are spacious and nice.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: We have a few off-campus housings that are very nice.

There is a pretty decent amount of off-campus housing options. These vary from apartments to renting houses. It is fairly easy to obtain off-campus housing, especially if the process is started early, like early October for the next school year. They are very close to campus. Most of the housing is only a walk away from the school. The cost is pretty average, not too high or too low, with average quality, safety, variety, and landlords.

Most students think that it is definitely worth it to move off campus when given the opportunity and many do. The price is cheaper than living in the dorms and having a food plan. Plus, the freedom is worth it! The only problem is that students do have to wait until they are 20 to move off campus for living. When it comes to the school, Ferris does not help to locate off-campus housing options for students. Instead Ferris offers cheaper rates and incentives for upperclassmen to stay in the dorms their last two years of college.
