Computers: We have both PC and mac labs and I believe in the dorms there are more computers. Most of the macs have up to date software that any student can use. Tech support sucks and the wifi isn't great, but it's not a terrible situataion. Although the wifi is slow at times, it works generally and there aren't really a whole lot of problems with it. You have to pay to print. Having your own computer is important for class work, especially if computer labs are full. The design students tend to use the Mac labs more often because they have a lot of work to do on Adobe programs. You won't really be able to use them for personal or social media use because we tend to be busy with class work on those. So I suggest investing in a good computer for personal use and school work because depending on your major you're really going to need it.

Computers: I do not know because I bring my own laptop to school.

3 College Junior

Computers: We have a few computer labs spread out across campus, but they get extremely crowded. All computer labs have Macs and PCs which come in handy depending on your major. It costs 10 cents per page to print black and white and 90 cents to print color.

Computers: To be honest FIT is not big on IT. Their online services are slow and not much reliable.

Computers: Sometimes the labs to print get super busy. You can bring and use laptops in classrooms.

While most students have their own computers in their dorm room or at home, they generally do not bring them to class, unless it is required. If students decide to bring their own computer, they can take advantage of the campus-wide wireless Internet; however, a lot of students take refuge in the computer lab to kill time in between classes. There are plenty of computers available, both PC and Mac, and most have programs students need to complete their work. FIT works hard to offer its students access to modern and emerging technologies and software, including the latest in graphic design applications and computer-aided design.

If students have an issue with their own personal computer, they can visit IT Media Services. For security purposes, passwords used to log in to the computers are changed about twice a semester. Each student has his or her own username and password.
