Campus Resources: I give an A+ because FIDM is a great school with a tremendous amount of resources that are available to the students. I think it is so awesome that they pay for databases that they make easily accessible to us in the Library. Using these databases is good because there is more credible information good for research papers that you couldn't find on a simple google search.

Academic Flexibility: FIDM is willing to work with you in anyway that you let them. They want you to enjoy your time attending the school and receiving the best education possible. I have enjoyed what I have learned thus far, and look forward to my future education at this school, while keeping a flexible schedule for work.

Student Body: There is a very diverse group of people at the campus. Also, being that the San Diego is much smaller than other universities, the student body is very close and is able to communicate on a more consistent basis.

Online Courses: Enrolling in an online class allows the student more flexibility. I believe that it also gives the student more time to procrastinate, but if the student is focused then they should succeed. An online class differs in the hands-on features that a physical class has to offer. From personal experience, the workload and registration process is the same as a regular class. The professor/student relationship differs a bit because the student is not physically seeing the professor every week, but if the student communicates on a weekly basis with the professor then they will have a good relationship. Peer-to-peer interaction did not differ for me in my online class because we were assigned group projects which caused the students to communicate with one another.

Student Body: I LOVE going to school there. I actually wake up wanting to go to school, and ready to learn. The reason is because when i am there i do not feel like i am at school. As well I love my hw assignments. I actually enjoy doing my hw now.

Overall Experience: First Impression – I will not start school for a few months, but my first impression has been very good. At this point, it just seems like it will be fun along with strict, like school should be. There will be leeway for fun. The school is colorful and the people I have met have been so friendly. Everyone brings their own individuality and taste to the table and I love that.

Campus Resources: Campus activities include that of getting creative. There is a student council, student only - made and edited magazine, and great library selection of magazines, fashion and art history books. The student center is small and right in the hallway on campus, but it is comfortable and casual to just relax with a lunch or homework next to a window overlooking San Diego. The campus aesthetic is exuberant and modern and most importantly, FUN! There is no way to be bored on campus.

Campus Resources: Petite Stature – Due to the school being so small (one floor), the library is equally as small. The access to a computer in the library and labs is limited and first come-first serve; that is why it is extremely important to have your own computer. Sometimes you cannot always get a computer to use in the library and they are often full.

Career Services: A Fair Game – Since the school is career focused, the amount of job opportunities for students are easily accessible to students, and happening often. Job fairs are held each quarter for students to get a part time job in (ideally) their field of study and gain some potential contacts, bosses, clients, etc. The career center offers a wide network of prospective employers and an updated job search engine to help alumni from any year find a job anytime! I strongly feel the school's goal and purpose for existence is to watch their students succeed and give them the access to it - not spoon feed them, but guide them. Their fair in that, allowing us to be the adults but they give us hints and guidance when we need it!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is – This is a private fashion/career/design school. Private, in itself, means expensive. However, for the amount of materials that are needed for each major, representatives coming in for discussions, and upkeep of the library on the latest magazines, trends, and merchandise - the amount of money for tuition is pretty self-explanatory. The financial aid office was extremely helpful in breaking down each part of the tuition for me, one by one, in a map-like form so I could see exactly what I was paying for. The education I will be receiving is top-notch, this college is not like any other university I have ever seen. The only reason I gave it an A- is the fact that I come from a low income family. I was so excited to try to get into this school, and talked it up so much, that I did not give myself enough time to map out a financial plan and thus, I am struggling now to find payment for my first year's tuition before the priority registration date. "What am I getting myself into!" has been my exclamation, but I refuse to give up - I just should have planned a little bit more (or saved up before taking the plunge) and I probably would not be in such a silly, stressful situation.

Overall Experience: Some teachers are nice, and yes some are mean. But when it comes to my final grade its not something to shove aside.
