3 College Senior

Student Body: People are nice sometimes, but they can be very judgmental of others. A lot of them act spoiled like they're the princess of the school. Althought there are also some really nice genuine people.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Lots of rich Caucasian people that are super fashionable and do what they love.

3 College Junior

Student Body: The student body is very diverse we have students from all over the world and everyone is very creative and dedicated

3 College Junior

Student Body: Students are very "passionate about fashion," but many I feel like do not take the school very seriously and are too obligated worrying about their looks and what people think of them. Many are not very intellectual and knowledgeable. Although, there are a hand few of really smart, driven, and hardworking students.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: There are the people who are there to learn and make a career. There are also people there who have a lot of money and don't show up to classes or leave early. I have seen it actually piss off professors. Most students are people I get a long with. Some students believe they are untouchable and shouldn't even mingle with their class mates. But, I feel like that is opened for interpretation.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

As a campus, FIDM is extremely diverse in pretty much all aspects. The average student? That's hard to define because there are so many different types of people from different locations, religious backgrounds, economic statuses, and even different sexual orientations.

FIDM is a place that students can feel comfortable being themselves or even discovering themselves. There are a lot of out-of-state and international students, so there is plenty of variety on campus. FIDM has the Cross Cultural Student Alliance, which is for students to learn about other cultures and backgrounds.

Typical Peers
The uniqueness of the FIDM student body is one of the best things about campus. There are tons of different styles, backgrounds, religious affiliations, interests, etc, but student love for art, design, and business brings everyone together. Students often bond through having classes or majors together, or through similar tastes in fashion, music, or even geography (where a student might be from in the country or internationally).

Student Organizations
There are a large number of different student organizations and clubs a student can get involved in. They include: international culture interest groups, a knitting club, Student Council, the American Society of Interior Designers, the Fashion Group International of Los Angeles, business societies, and Set Decorators Society of America. Most clubs are open to any currently enrolled student, and one can become an active member by attending weekly meetings and monthly events.
Phi Theta Kappa, FIDM's honor society, has a GPA requirement, but most are open to anyone.
