3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The town has great scenery and there are plenty of stores plus a city with many attractions to look for and at.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I love working with computers and that is the main thing for my major. I also get to learn about different techniques that I wouldn't have thought about looking for if I wasn't taking the classes.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Basketball is the main sport that students support. Volley ball is one that they do for fun on occasion as well as open soccer.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The students aren't really judgmental to the color of someone but their common sense.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The school computers are a little slow but its still easy to use. The are only two areas on campus with computers. The computer lab and the library. Using your laptop is a little easier but not if you don't have a printer. Printing money isn't that bad.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Dorm parking is okay for the most part. When the apartments were dorms as well it was hard to find a parking spot at times.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: No alcohol or drugs which I like that about it. Your not allowed to be noisy or in the lobby an hour after curfew. And no pre-marital sex, instant expulsion.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Its easy to apply and not hard to get accepted. The main thing is that your saved and either single or married. If your divorced they won't accept. That's about the only way you won't get accepted.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Its an easy program and its a great way to learn techniques for a business or becoming a secretary.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I'm not living as an off campus student but some are and they don't hang out much on campus or in the dorms. They mainly are there for classes and then they take off.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I haven't been able to qualify for grants or scholarships. I'm still looking for one that will actually help me get through school without the financial burden.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The paths are not lit very well and some times the girls leave the dorm door unlocked, but other than that its pretty safe. I feel safe enough to walk back by myself for the most part, depending on where I'm walking from.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is available for most students. You have to be age 23 before the semester starts to qualify for off campus living. It is cheaper by far to live off campus but not everyone in the living facility will be going to the same school. You want to be sure they will be there for the amount of time you need.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There are many different scholarships available to new and to returning students as well.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: It is really fun to be a part of athletics at Faith. We are a small enough school that there is a bigger opportunity to play than there would be at a large institution. We have nice facilities, and our coaching staff is absolutely wonderful.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The atmosphere at Faith is very unique in the sense that everyone knows who you are and to some extent a little about what you are planning to do with your life. School spirit is really high, and we love athletics here. We have a relatively small campus, so it is literally impossible to get lost. The faculty and staff are really involved in what's going on around campus and in the lives of the students as well.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus has very strict guidelines for our social and academic lives.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The only struggle with the technology on campus is that the wireless is really irritating. It times out all the time, and students have to constantly re-login to the system to gain access. Other than that, the computer labs, printing on campus, and the network on campus are always available and really nice and up-to-date.

2 College Sophomore

Weather: Winter is rough in Iowa, and it is always really cold and icy during the winter months. Driving conditions are sometimes a little scary if you are not accustomed to driving in snow or on icy roads. Otherwise, spring, fall, and summer weather are awesome!

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Living in Ankeny and in close proximity to Des Moines, restaurants are easily found, and the variety is huge.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs and alcohol are prohibited anywhere on campus at Faith, so I have never even seen anyone partaking or been pressured to do so. If a student were to be caught, they would be immediately dealt with according to the handbook policy.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living in the dorms at Faith is an amazing experience. I've built some of the best friendships that I've ever had in my life while living in the dorm. It is really easy to request a roommate and even a room for the most part.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I have never felt threatened in any way on campus. Security is always roaming around and willing to help out with anything that is needed.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: There are a variety of classes taught by a variety of professors, and this creates a well-rounded education for any students attending the school.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Being in the English education major is absolutely wonderful! The professors are super helpful and available, and it is really easy to get enrolled in any courses that you need. The opportunities for observations and practical experience are really helpful and available to you as part of your education.
