3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The school is not really strict. They put on a front about being strict, but you should be fine as long as you do are not stupid. As for academic, you have free tutoring if you need help.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: They were okay with all of the strictness. It is what you would expect from a college campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus strictness is about the same at any other college

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Like any other school they are strict with drinking and encourage us to be safe.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I can't really answer this because I do not live on campus. The parking situation is terrible. They allow residents to park where commuters do. These past two semesters have been challenging when trying to find parking spaces.

While Public Safety on campus tries to enforce the long list of rules and regulations the department has in place, the majority of students is able to get away with whatever it wants, as long as students try to take a smart approach to it. The campus takes a very strict policy toward alcohol, and there are a few RAs who will get you in trouble if they can, but most of the RAs are lenient and forgiving. If you are caught having alcohol or a party in your room, then you can expect to be written up and pay a fine. The fines and penalties can be reduced if it is your first offense or if you explain yourself to the Dean of Judicial Affairs.

The administration is flexible to a point, but if you constantly disregard them and continue to get caught, then they will enforce their policies on you and may even remove you from living in the residence halls. Dorm visitations are very simple, and many students simply ignore the restrictions because it is so difficult to be caught. The only rules on campus that are constantly enforced are parking violations, for which students will receive parking tickets anywhere from $25 to $100.

Facts & Statistics

Students Are Most Likely to Get Caught...
Drinking in dorm rooms
Visitation Policies
If students wish to have visitors, the process is relatively simple. The student must check the guest in at the parking booths all around campus so that he or she can get a temporary parking permit. Guests may stay up to three days at a time before they must be checked in again; a maximum of 10 visits are allowed per semester. While visitations are not uncommon, there is never a line to check in guests.
