3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There is crime on campus but it is typically mediocre. A stolen bike or laptop from your bag when put in cubes for using the school store. Sometimes the occasional car gets broken into, mostly in F lot. The wild life is very present and there are cases of black bare sightings.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: While there are some occasional minor theft of personal property, the overall security on campus is very good. If there is anything the students need to know, an email is sent out to every student. I feel perfectly fine walking from the CAB building to my dorm in the middle of the night.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: The health center is not very friendly. It is hard to make an appointment or get seen in a timely manner. I hate walking home at night from night classes because the pathways are unlit and all I can think about is someone either following me home or jumping out at me to play a prank. We do have police services on campus, but I don't think they do a good job of decreasing the drug and alcohol use.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I'm disabled and often have a difficult time walking to my car with my heavy school bags. I feel this makes me a target and I get worried. I would like it if we had someone to walk us to our cars, or even a golf cart to drive us when needed.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Sexual assault has been an issue in the past the recent establishment of help and counselling centers, much better trained and well-equipped police force, as well as an effective PR campaign from the school have lead to increased safety on campus in the last few years. There is also bike theft from time to time but I almost always feel perfectly safe and secure around campus, in the woods, and around Olympia. The health center is useful, though I have never used it's services. There are generally students who are passionate about medicine and helping others so the outreach an training of staff is robust. For on-campus injury the police and fire department have excellent response time and competency.
