3 College Freshman

Academics: Most of the classes I have been in so far are generally the same set up and style. Lang has many of the seminar style classes, which basically are just discussion based courses. I generally disliked this format, and tried to sign up for lecture and studio based classes - but I know this style works for many of the other students here. The workload is a lot of reading and writing, and for the most part, there are very few tests. I would say the most popular topics revolve around social justice, as well as being heavily saturated with politics.

3 College Junior

Academics: Lang employs round table discussion methods of learning, which is great in theory, but if the majority of people haven't read the material for that class day, it can make for some long drawn out silences for your two hour class. Always read! Be prepared!

3 College Freshman

Academics: The academics overall are okay. They have interesting classes with pretty good teachers. There are no General Education Requirements.

The workload can be pretty intense. It is a very reading-intensive school so there will be a lot of reading and a fair amount of writing.
