3 College Freshman

Weather: The ocean has a big affect on the weather on campus

Overall Experience: The requirement to fulfill internships every single year sets

Endicott apart from other schools. I am so grateful I chose Endicott so that I can mold my path towards the careers and settings that feel like the best fit while I am still in college. I did not want to wait to find out AFTER I graduated! I have been tweaking my direction after each internship.

Drug Safety: Drugs are not an issue here! Yay!!!!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: At first I was surprised by how strict the policies here are. But over time

I have come to feel very comfortable, and realize I really don't feel limited. I am doing what I would want to be doing anyway. Forming friendships and socializing mainly with closer friends, and sometimes going to the big parties and dances.

I am glad to be able to feel free to walk around campus and visit friends without fear from my safety like some of my friends on other campuses.

Guys & Girls: Students are pretty clean cut, dress nicely, are wholesome and friendly. Sure they still go to parties and have fun, but this is a safe place to meet people and socialize.

Younger undergrad boys tend to avoid steady relationships, but the upperclassmen become ready to have a relationship.

Facilities: The classes are great! The teachers are interesting and supportive.

The students are friendly and easy going, as well as dedicated to their majors.

The feeling here on campus is safe, secure, and beautiful. What a special place to spend 4 years!

Nightlife: Well, Endicott is not what anyone would call a "party school". If that's what you're seeking, perhaps a state school would be more suitable. There are plenty of activities offered, the Lodge is nice to hang out at and people socialize in dorm rooms, but it is not a campus known for nightlife, underage drinking or wild parties.

Health & Safety: The campus police make their presence known in a friendly, supportive, but firm way. I am glad they are there as are others, although we have a very secure campus and do not feel nervous. But perhaps that is because it is so well managed. They also are willing to help out if a student needs special assistance . Once when I was very ill they drove me to the infirmary.

Academics: I love the variety in the curriculum as well as the opportunity to expl;ore areas of interest in depth. The campus itself is absolutely beautiful. The buildings range from old world stone to cutting edge contemporary. There are winding pathways with lovely landscaping, and we can walk to a small beach. The emphasis on internships is what initially attracted me to Endicott, and remains a critical part of my college experience.

Local Atmosphere: Its a beautiful area in New England. Lots of charming homes and seaside communities as well as interesting vibrant towns and easy access to the major metropolitan area of Boston.

Off-Campus Dining: We are in the suburbs- about 20 minutes away from Boston. Anyone who wants more options can easily go into Boston for the day/eve. For those who wish to remain local there are plenty of standard options commonly available in many suburbs. Dunkin Donuts, Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, Paneras, etc

Athletics: The athletics here add to the overall feeling of school spirit. Plenty of students support the teams and their peers, even if they are not athletes. The school strives to get students involved in rooting for our teams. At many games they plan for fun freebies that they distribute to the fans.

Weather: It's Massachussetts- so naturally it can be cold, and we get snow. While I don't love walking to class in cold snowy weather I would say the staff here do an excellent job of clearing the snow out when it hits. They are also good at providing for us during storms thatare severe enough to keep everyone on campus and lose power.

Scholarships: The staff at Endicott are supportive of my needs. I have met with them to learn what my options are. They took the time to show me a variety of options- from loans to scholarships. I was shown how to continually search for opportunities. My parents also felt the Financila Aid office was very responsive.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: One reason I love my major at Endicott is that it is a somewhat smaller program here. This allows my professors and I the opportunity to get to know each other better- it is more personal. Within the Creative Writing program I still have plenty of electives available which I can use to expand my knowledge in other complementary areas of interest such as psychology.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The last internship I had was very important allowing me to experience in depth what it could be like to work in that field. There was no pay, but none was expected- the experience and information gained were the most important factor. I was an editorial assistant at a magazine. I had to proof- read articles, gather data and was allowed to do some minimal writing.

The hours were 9-5, 5 days per week so it gave me a fair view of what it would feel like to work in that field.

2 College Junior

Diversity: There is not a lot of diversity on campus. There are international students, but overall there are mostly caucasian students.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The health and safety is great on campus. I feel that it is a very secure campus, and the health office is very nice.

1 College Junior

Weather: The weather is very cold, and rainy. It is not the best situation.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The campus is strict, but in the areas that it needs to be.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Endicott is a good school but unlike any other it has its ups and downs. It is a beautiful campus, but needs to be fixed. There are not enough parking spaces on campus. It is a daily struggle trying to find one relatively close to your residence hall. Many of the residence halls need to be updated as well. The food offered in the dining hall is not good. I find myself making my own meals, or spending a lot of money on off campus dining. The meal plans are a waste of money because I basically never use them. The food in the dining hall makes me sick, and I usually do not feel well after eating there.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The shuttle system is nice to have, but there were times when I had to wait over an hour for the bus to arrive. It was terrible when the weather was bad. It was freezing to stand outside, and sometimes it was raining or snowing, which also made the experience very unpleasant.

3 College Junior

Majors: This part of the school is okay.

3 College Junior

Majors: It was fairly easy to get into my program.

1 College Junior

Campus Housing: The housing situation is absolutely terrible. It is way too frustrating and aggravating to try and get what residence hall you will be happiest in. The system is so confusing, and even with multiple back up plans, you typically end up getting stuck somewhere that you don't like. There are often times when you are placed with people that you don't know. This happens every year, not just freshman year. It makes sense for this to happen freshman year, but not your junior or senior year. It is also annoying because a lot of the residence halls need to be updated. For instance, one of the halls that I lived in last year had a refrigerator in the kitchen that had rust all over it. This was really gross. The kitchen was also in the basement, which is not pleasant either.
