4 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather in Georgia can be unpredictable at times. It snowed for the first time in a long time this past winter. Usually, it only rains.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: There was some odd weather patterns in Georgia this past year, but there wasn't much rain, and we had snow!!!

3 College Freshman

Weather: I don't care too much about weather. It does not affect me as much, nor the Oxford community. We did however cancel school for the snow-pocolypse.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: This year we had 2 weeks off solely for snow days but usually the weather has little to no impact on day to day life. The sunny days make those days that much better though.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: All the seasons here are beautiful--fall especially is incredible--but winter lasts for SO long!

The weather is definitely an added plus when coming to Emory. With the exception of the peak winter months, the weather is nearly always nice and warm and not too humid. A sweatshirt and shorts will likely be all you need during your time at Emory, as well as a rain jacket for the occasional downpour during the spring. The fall is beautiful, and although it is still pretty hot during the early months as the summer heat loses its intensity, it is bearable. Clairmont pool is open until late November and provides for a very relaxing and refreshing place to hang out and relax during the warm weather.

The nice weather usually lasts until December, which is when the temperatures drop to the 30s and 40s. After you return from winter break, the weather gets nice by mid-January or so, meaning you will only need to endure a month of colder weather before the nice weather returns. With the few exceptions of the occasional spells of rain and cold weather, students at Emory are spoiled by some of the best weather in the nation.
