Off-Campus Housing: Housing off campus is ok and not super expensive, but getting permission to live off campus is a tricky process. I've heard of students getting married to friends just so they could move off campus together.

Off-Campus Housing: I have not looked into off-campus housing.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have heard that it is okay but I know a lot of Emory upperclassmen also decide to live on the other campus that isn't far off the main campus.

Off-Campus Housing: Not sure since i have not explored that area

Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off-campus, but many like it. Can be cheaper than on campus; however, less convenient.

Atlanta has an abundance of off-campus housing options for students at fairly reasonable prices. The area around campus, Druid Hills and Decatur, have very reasonable housing and apartment rates. Students can find four- to five-bedroom houses fairly easily and will not have to pay more than $500 a month or so per person, a price much cheaper than any housing options that Emory has to offer. Clairmont Tower apartments are nearly $800 a month. There are very many nice areas to live off campus that are only a few miles from campus as well as downtown Atlanta. There are several shuttle routes that have stops near various shopping centers, such as Toco Hills and other areas, but you are better off having your own car if you plan on living off campus.

While sophomores are required to live on campus, many students apply for off-campus housing claiming that they are "commuting." Students who live nearby in Georgia can do this fairly easily, while others from out of state have to come up with a nearby family member's address in order to have their request approved. Students often give a bogus address, resulting in a denied request.
