4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: We can go to the dining hall as many times as we want and late at night there's two places to eat on campus that stay open until one or two AM and on Thursday- Sunday nights we have food trucks that take our Emory dollars (Dooley Dollars)

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Always so many options, and quite healthy

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There are two cafeterias. The upperclassmen cafeteria isn't as great anymore as it used to be. It gets old fast, since the only places worth eating are the sandwich place, sushi, and the taco place. The DUC is ok every now and then, but you get sick of it quickly if you eat there all the time. There are very limited options of food at the village. Overall, not much variety in food. Campus food is also pretty expensive.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: It's better than most college campuses, I just thought being in Atlanta the food would be great.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: I'm a rare student that is easy to please with dining. There are a lot of options and lots are organic, kosher, paleo and ethnic. I grocery shop though- it's extremely expensive.

There are two main on-campus dining facilities, the Dobbs University Center (DUC) and Cox Hall, both conveniently located in the center of campus. These dining halls are very convenient, and the DUC provides an "on-the-fly" café area where you are able to grab a quick meal if you are in a hurry. The DUC has many different food stations that serve a variety of different foods (grill, made-to-order stir-fry and sandwiches, salad and vegetables, etc), and the students' opinions of the quality of the food varies as well. Some love the food, some claim it is terrible, and most say that it is just average. Regardless, the DUC is very convenient and rarely closed. If the DUC does not hit the spot, Einstein's Bagels downstairs serves as a satisfying alternative.

The other main dining hall is Cox, which is a condensed food court that features Chick-fil-A. Cox takes Dooley Dollars, not meal swipes, so most upperclassmen eat here as opposed to the DUC. There is also a wide variety of food choices here. During lunch and afternoon hours, the hall is absolutely packed, and the lines are very long, but they move deceptively quick. It is unlikely you will have to wait for more than 10 or 15 minutes. All in all, campus dining is more convenient than anything else. Some students grow tired of the food and resort to off-campus restaurants, but for your first couple years at Emory, on-campus dining will do the job.
