Majors: Most majors are available. The process of changing your major is something that many students decide to do and is very easy.

5 College Sophomore

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Buses are late to the school sometimes, and back from school as well.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Faculty, staff, and campus police have rules and students do not mind following them.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Most people show up to the basketball games. Those are big at the school.

Facilities: The academic programs are top notch, and this is not a school for the faint of heart. You NEED to study, or you won't survive here.

Scholarships: Like any college, filling out all the forms is time consuming, but Emory has given me decent financial aid 2 years in a row. They don't just make you take out a bunch of loans, they actually give out good scholarships.

Local Atmosphere: Emory is in Atlanta (one of the biggest cities in the South), so there is always something to do, either on campus or off.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Everyone is very accepting and inviting, so it is pretty easy to make friends quickly.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: If you don't do anything stupid, you'll be fine. Seriously.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I don't know much about the Greek life, but most people know the Greeks for the parties.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There isn't much peer pressure to use drugs or alcohol. If you want to party, they will be available, but you can have a social life without using.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Overall, people dress fairly nicely, but during finals everyone looks like they are on the verge of death.

Emory provides for a very unique and rewarding college experience. With the prestigious and academically rigorous University paired with the entertaining and lively city of Atlanta, your experience at Emory will certainly be a memorable one. You will be forced to work hard during your time at Emory, but you will hopefully see the benefits of this shortly thereafter. Many find Emory's celebrated diversity a blessing as well as a curse, as sometimes the various minorities or student groups become extremely cliquey and exclusive, leaving some students feeling left out. But for most this feeling does not last, and they quickly find their group of friends and people who they truly care about. There is a niche and group for everyone at Emory, but sometimes it can take a while to discover where exactly it is.

While the tuition rates at Emory are some of the highest in the nation, many students look back after a few years and feel that their time at Emory was well spent, literally and figuratively. The school has tons of invaluable resources to offer from the million-dollar facilities to the world-class professors, and your experience is truly what you make of it. The city also has an unlimited amount of opportunities and resources at each student's disposal as well. Both Emory and Atlanta have everything anyone could ask for and more, and until you realize this, you will not be able to fully understand the blessing of attending Emory.
