3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: The party scene at Elizabethtown is exactly what you expect coming to a small private school in Lancaster County. Since there is no greek life, and only one bar in town, the majority of the parties occur in privately owned houses off campus. Around the beginning and end of each semester, there are typically more parties than in the middle or during midterms. There will usually be a keg or too, some bp. Doesn't get too crazy.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Not that many places to go. You could take the train into other towns but the only nightlife is usually on campus in the Quads or Apartments or Off Campus at other living areas like the Wrestling House.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: It doesn't exist. Well, I think there are some who make the best of it but, I mean, there isn't much to do at night here. But I did go to a concert the other night at the giant stadium in Hershey, about 20 minutes drive from the school.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Usually great parties, but sometimes few/weak ones

College Freshman

Nightlife: I very rarely attend parties at school, and I am underage so I do not know much about the bars and nightlife in the area. It is a very small town though, so options for restaurants and bars are limited.

Elizabethtown College is a quieter school. That’s not to say that there aren’t any good or even wild parties. However, it is a nicer area, so the local bar and club scene is a bit scarce. There are a few places that are within walking distance, but if students really want to hit the clubs and bars, they normally head to Harrisburg or downtown Lancaster.

There is always a party going on during the weekend, especially at the sports houses and in the quads and apartments. For a lot of the parties on campus, students should have some type of connection to the people hosting the party, but there are a few open parties. There tends to be a school dance most weekends, and a lot of the students usually go out to party after the dance, so it’s a great place to make a few connections and check out the night’s events.

There are a few underage clubs in Harrisburg, but they’re not the best or very popular with students at Etown. A lot of the underclassmen will go hang out at Folklore, Conewago Coffee, or nearby malls, like Park City Center in Lancaster. Otherwise students go to the student organization events and the parties on campus.
