Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Etown is huge on writing. Get a good score in the writing section of the SAT and make sure the application essay is well thought out, grammatically correct, and true to the guidelines. It also helps to make the essay about something personal.
  • A good way to be noticed by Etown is to try some AP courses. The college likes to see a student strive for higher education, as they are bigger on academics than sports.
  • It's important to get involved in the community. Etown is big on community service and helping those in need, so they really appreciate seeing a student who is active in the world around him or her.
  • The last thing one can do is to schedule an interview. Look sharp, do some research on the college, and show interest by coming prepared with questions.
Interviews & Information Sessions
Interviews and tour are conducted Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. during the academic year. All visits, whether they are campus tours or interviews, are scheduled through the visit coordinator. Call 717-361-1400 during regular office hours. There are also Saturday open houses that are scheduled throughout the academic year. To attend an open house, the college would like the prospective student to register online or by calling (717) 361-1402.
Campus Tours
Student-led campus tours are available Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Student tours are also available during select Saturdays throughout the academic year. Tours are not available during holidays, breaks, finals, or summer session. Call (717) 361-1400 to register with admissions and set up a personalized tour!
Overnight Visits
Individual overnight stays are offered Sunday through Thursday during the academic year. During an overnight stay, prospective students can experience campus life by attending classes, participating in college events, dining in campus eateries, and living in the residence hall. Visitors have to apply for an overnight visit at least two weeks in advance by calling (717) 361-1599, sending a request to overnight@etown.edu, or submitting a request online.
