Nightlife: Basically, it is all what you make it. Most of the parties that occur on campus are in Viking Village. Everyone wants to have fun and enjoy themselves. There are little parties here and there around the campus. It's better when it's hotter outside because that's when everyone is just having a big party outside. The parties aren't expected to have thousands of people because the school is a smaller university. Whenever I decide to go out, I enjoy myself especially because I'm out with my friends.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The school doesn't really have a whole lot of parties. Most parties take place in VA or Williams Hall. Other events are best found in VA. With a lot of people crowded into the gym it can get extremely hot. Otherwise known as, "The Sweat Box." Some parties are thrown in dorm rooms or The Ville. Those types of parties aren't very big and are the first to get shut down, quick.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I rather not party or go to clubs. I don't even drink, so I don't have a rate for this question.

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are very few options of night life here. Often being a freshman you have very few places to go, and you really don't have a way to get there.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: It's not really a lot of party scene off campus but there are a few hosted by students and frats.

The party scene around campus is mostly the everyday Friday night parties in Williams Hall. This can be viewed as good or bad, depending on your interests. For one thing, Williams Hall hardly has any air conditioning for the many people who attend the parties, and another thing, some of the parties there are not worth the admission fee at the door. Surprisingly, many students attend the parties, faithfully disregarding the lack of air conditioning and admission fees. Other parties that are hosted by the Greeks are much more entertaining and exciting. These parties mostly occur during designated Greek weeks throughout the school year. Some students also have small gatherings in their dorms with some of their closest friends.

Elizabeth City State University students love to party, and if a party is not as exciting as they think it should be, somehow they will make it worth their while. Overall, the party life on campus is pretty exciting, only if you find the right parties to attend. Off-campus partying occurs only at Levels in Elizabeth City or at other bars and clubs in Virginia Beach. There aren’t many places for students to party in the local area, so they venture to Virginia for fun. For students, parties are much better off campus in Virginia because they are more relaxed and mature, especially at different lounges and bars.
