Facilities: I have realized that there has been much construction occurring on campus during the summer. Many of the facilities could use some help because some are older. They have done a really good with the buildings that have been constructed in the previous years. There are a lot of spots on campus where students can just stop and hang out that are convenient. Although the library is not one of the buildings that have been newly constructed, they have more than enough resources available. The students themselves are always coming up with event ideas, like now they already many events planned out for Welcome Back Week. The faculty and staff usually support the students with their ideas.

4 College Senior

Facilities: We don't have to pay for our textbooks here, which saves everyone a lot of money. It's also a "home-like" type school. We are very small but that is apart of what makes it better honestly. We get to know each other and our professors a lot better and vice versa. It makes for a better learning environment.

4 College Senior

Facilities: We have a nice library whose times are very flexible. We also have student centers and places where extracurricular activities can be held. It's plenty to do here and people tend to have a lot of fun.

College Sophomore

Facilities: The library is very comfortable to go to study and get work done.

The facilities at Elizabeth City State University are superb. Whether there are people who want to improve their physical fitness or students preparing for the new athletic season, there are always facilities available that can provide excellent service and just about all of the equipment a person may need. The Ridley Student Center is a place where students can sit and socialize, form study groups, and enjoy a meal from Checkers. The school has one library with a variety of books, study rooms, and computers. Many students can be found in the ITC (Information Technology Center), studying and completing homework throughout the day and until midnight every week.

ECSU is also undergoing renovations and adding new buildings and amenities to campus, including the education and psychology building, a dormitory, and a baseball field. In 2010, the pharmacy complex was completed and open for classes. Overall, for a small university, the facilities are quite wonderful and convenient for the students. The University hopes to become even more convenient with new renovations being made in upcoming years.
