Diversity: I mean this is an HBCU. There are some other ethnicity here as well. But of course this is a mostly black school.

Off-Campus Housing: I don't really know about this that well. I stay on campus in the dorms.

Campus Strictness: I for one don't think that the campus is very strict. People still do what ever it is that they want to do.

Academics: The academics at Elizabeth City State are ok. However it all depends on how much work that you complete. Also if you applied yourself .

Guys & Girls: I stay to myself and don't care too much about how people choose to live their life.

Parking: This is a small campus so everything is in walking distance. It's fairly simple to find a parking spot.

Computers: Printing on campus is free. There are two places where wireless access is at its best on this campus. There really isn't a need to purchase your own printer, but a personal computer is crucial.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I rather not party or go to clubs. I don't even drink, so I don't have a rate for this question.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It rains a lot here which makes me melancholy. My freshman year was the worst.

College Sophomore

Majors: It wasn't difficult to get into the program of my choice. All I had to do was make a decision.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The program I am in at my school is extremely difficult. It requires all of my attention and having a social life seems impossible. I must study everyday, but I do enjoy being in my program.

Campus Dining: In my opinion, the BEST time to get on campus is in the morning for breakfast. The cafeteria closes at 7:30 so most of the time I'm still hungry when I go to bed. The menu is typically the same. There is only one place to eat on campus and that is Checkers. We are given $75 each semester to use at Checkers if we choose not to eat in the cafeteria.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are a lot of students on campus who attend church.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: First semester of my freshman year was a little hectic trying to get financial aid process done. Now, it's fairly simple.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I have been living on campus since I've been enrolled at this school.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love my school when it comes to the staff and faculty. The professors here really care about your education. I dislike that we don't have many activities on campus and the food in the cafeteria isn't the best.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off-Campus dining is very convenient since majority of the places are by each other and are five minutes from campus. There aren't many food places that give student discounts. The most popular place to eat off-campus is the cook out. It is affordable and you receive a lot of food.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall, this was not my first choice but the cost of attendance is really great. I've met some amazing people here and received many great opportunities for internships and so much more. Since I participate in activities on campus I honestly enjoy myself. Every day here isn't a party but when it is a party, ITS A PARTY! I love it.

For many aviation majors, Elizabeth City State University is the only choice in North Carolina. But whether you are into air travel or not, you will meet some lifelong friends at the University and people who will become like family to you. As students progress toward graduation, more and more opportunities come their way. The career services department always makes sure students are aware of different opportunities. Summer internships are perfect opportunities to network and meet new people who might be good resources to you after you graduate.

Many opportunities come about because of the amazing faculty and staff at ECSU. The one problem is that because the University is growing, it hasn't been able to staff as many professors to meet the growing demand for classes. Because of this, not all core classes are available throughout the year.
