3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There are all types of students. Ethnicity is a major. There is no discrimination based on race.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is very costly. I applied for two class which came out to be around $800.00 I honestly don't have that type of money but to pay bills only. That does not even include books.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I cut my financial aid in half with ease.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The music program is small, but has awesome instructors, including profession musicians or retired professionals.

Facilities: I don't really know what makes it better than somewhere else. I just know it was a great experience for me. A person is only going to get what they take from an educational experience. While it has somewhat to do with what is offered, it depends on how much the person puts into it and participates.

Overall Experience: I would absolutely do it again. I have my 2 high school students dual enrolled there and tell friends they should send their kids there first before a 4-year university experience.

The faculty are wonderful!!!

College Senior

Career Services: I have no experience. I just transferred my completed AA to a 4-year school recently with no issues and the degree transferred completely.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial Aid is a major pain to deal with. I found one person who is wonderful and she is my go-to. You just have to stay on top of them and be pro-active on your own behalf.

Tuition is VERY reasonable and scholarships seem plentiful in my experience. I remember a poster I saw years ago that said, "If you think education is expensive now, try not having one later". VERY TRUE!

Academic Flexibility: I had to re-take a few classes because Florida DOE changed regulations since the last time I was in college (20+ years ago). All of my classes aside from the statewide regulation changes transferred, including out-of-state.

Student Body: Students in the music program are generally friendly/social and interact together. You do have to take gen-ed courses though, and there you meet all kinds of students. It is a community college setting and the atmosphere and attitudes are just that among a lot of the students.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I did a few gen-ed courses online and it worked well for me because I could work at my own pace as long as I met deadlines. Instructors were good about replying by email and grading pretty quickly. You must be a disciplined person for these courses to work for you, though!!!

Campus Resources: It is basically a commuter campus setting, but that being said, they have really tried to add a lot of clubs; academic, athletic, social, artistic, etc. This is a community college with a few 4-year, BS degrees, but no BA. They have recently built 1 dorm building and increased the activities, improved the cafeteria and student center.

The library is great with resourceful people to help. The on-line databases are GREAT and they are always adding to them and "sampling" new ones.

Campus Resources: Like all computer systems, there are a few bad days here and there, but overall, the recent upgrades in the past couple of years have been great improvements. They us Canvas for their on-line classes and some instructors on campus use it as a communication tool above and beyond the portal. It seems to be a much more reliable and user friendly system than Blackboard that i use at another school.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I do better on campus.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm not in my program yet.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: it's not as good as other schools I've been to.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's hard to receive financial aid at times. It's a long confusing process and can ruin your chances for starting in a specific semester. You just have to keep up with the paperwork, apply ahead of time, and be on time with the deadline.

Academic Experience: A lot of my professors have really strong accents that make them hard to understand the course. I don't know why they are hired if they can't speak English fluently. It just depends on your professor, most are okay.

Academic Experience: The school advisors help you out a lot when it comes to choosing a major and what classes you have to take.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: There's a large student body diversity on the campus. Some students are really accepting and friendly, others just mind their own business.
