4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Eckerd's campus dining is well-above averaged, nevertheless, the main cafeteria is usually hit or miss.

2 College Freshman

Campus Dining: No diversity or flavor! Everything is salad or pizza.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Seeing as there are many vegetarian and vegans at Eckerd, they could put more effort into creating a menu for us that fulfills our nutritional needs.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food generally tastes bad but at times it is bearable. The Pub is the best place to go.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dining hall has pretty restricted hours during the week-it's open from 8-9:45 for breakfast, 11-1 for lunch, and then 5-7 for dinner. It sucks if you're busy studying or have a late class and have to rush to get to the caf on time before they lock you out. The food is decent, it's just pretty much the same rotation of options every day. They also really really suck at making pasta....I do not know how it's possible to create pasta that tastes so flavorless.
The pub makes pretty good food and is open pretty much all day but meal swipes are accepted from 11-2, and then from 7-11PM. It has the less healthier options such as hamburgers, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, ect. It does however have a wrap and panini section which is pretty good.

From vegetarian choices to a hearty meal of steak and potatoes with a side of collard greens, the cafeteria has a lot of options. Regular items include a cereal station; desserts; grill with burgers, veggie burgers, chicken, and fries; salad bar; sandwich fixings; soup bar; vegetarian options; and a rotating station with international items like stir-fry and crepes. There are always plenty of options, but the more you frequent the cafeteria, the more you begin to pick up on the recycled themes and menu choices. However, there are other dining options: the CEC (a smaller cafeteria on the far side of campus) and the pub.

The meal system at Eckerd works on tiers. Freshmen are automatically enrolled in Tier A, which includes the largest amount of meal blocks; however, this can be downgraded to a plan with less meal blocks and more flex dollars. The pub, which has standard fast food fare, accepts flex dollars, and, at certain times, meal blocks. The best part about dining at the café is that one swipe lets you eat all you want at that meal, so if you eat a lot, it’s not more expensive. Also, the pub and both cafeterias offer a nice social atmosphere even as the food becomes subpar.
