1 College Sophomore

Nightlife: LOL nightlife here at ENC that is such a joke! YOU won't find it here

College Sophomore

Majors: Admission is nothing!! I think everyone gets in.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Youre set to doing certain courses and often confined to certain buildings according to major.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Not too much, but it is present

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Not the best, but not the worst.

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: You have to sign a contract saying you will not partake in such activities while you are enrolled at ENC. But people still do it, just not on campus. Most of the time.

4 College Senior

Majors: I love the Biology department, I love all the professors especially Prof. Burt she has made me love being a Biology major more than anyone else in the department.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: there are actually no Greeks on our campus, we don't have sororities and fraternities

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: We are in a pretty safe part of town so I don't really worry about my safety that often.

4 College Senior

Facilities: I think that the student body really comes together when we support our athletic programs, being on both the varsity volleyball and softball teams really allows me to become friends with a lot of different people only because they approach me to tell me good game or to talk about the game.

3 College Senior

Facilities: I think that the sense of community is what sets this school apart from others. Everyone knows everyone and it feels kind of like a second home.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: It was very rough, I had to take out many loans and they wouldn't really give me any money except for my SAT scores. They won't even raise that scholarship even though my GPA is outstanding. But they give scholarships to people who don't even care about their courses and their schoolwork and don't even show up to class. Just because they are more ethnically diverse than me. Well, my family is poor, my dad is a pastor and I have three brothers who also have to go to school and I work very very hard in school so I can get a degree that will actually make money so I can help send my brothers to school, but I have to pay out of my own pocket because they decided to give an extra 10,000 dollars to another student who has to leave school because his grades are too low.

2 College Senior

Parking: They only have one parking lot for on campus students. It's ridiculous.

Overall Experience: Eastern Nazarene College is a fine Christian school, I wish it had been a little more frugal with it's money so tuition wasn't so high, I also wish that their financial aid division worked a little harder on getting people the scholarships that they need rather than squandering their money on people who aren't going to come back to the school anyways because they fail out because they don't try hard enough. I wish they gave scholarships to students who actually cared about their college career rather than just going for the heck of it.

Overall Experience: The people here are incredibly judgmental even though most of them are christian. It's a really tiny school so if you do anything remotely "unholy", people will definitely be talking about you. Things get around fast and its basically impossible to avoid drama. I honestly think this college is worse than high school. I would advise anyone looking into this college to save their money and find a better school. The academics are good but the atmosphere of the campus ruins everything.

Majors: There are many majors to choose from at Eastern Nazarene. And I have been doing great with my education and feel very satisfied with the education I am receiving at this college. All the professors I have had have been out in the field I would like to work in so they are bringing their own experience to class as well as teaching by the books, they are also eager to provide tips to students to help with our experience.

Facilities: The facilities on campus are great the library is close and welcoming also the public library it great to go to as well. There is an athletic center on campus for students to take advantage of! There are always many campus activities going on so students have many choices to make and are rarely bored.

Local Atmosphere: Quincy is a pretty big town and not too far of a commute to Boston which is a big city with many things to do. Although Quincy also has a lot to offer if students don't want to travel outside of the city.

Academics: Most of the professors I have had are great with the material they teach and the students are understanding what is being taught so that great but some teachers I feel are being kept on the staff because they are alumni and maybe the administration feels bad about getting rid of them or even because the professors have been with the school for so long. I am not saying they are bad teachers I just think they could use an update in their own material and how to teach to modern day students.

Campus Dining: The cafeteria is hit or miss. There are plenty of options, but it is not uncommon to find that you're eating rotten food. I've found bugs in the lettuce on the salad bar, rotten meat, moldy cheese, and, on one occasion, a worm in my soup.

These are probably common problems anywhere, but I am skeptical of the practices of the kitchen staff. I once watched the director of food services retrieve a can of ketchup from a kitchen trash can and scrape the remnants out to be served. I have not trusted the cafeteria since.

The dugout is run by the same company (Pioneer Caterers), but is a much better option... If you have the money. Burgers, salads, breakfast sandwiches.. they have it all, and the manager is one of the most courteous, nice people at the college.

Unless things have changed this year, they had very few options for meals in the dugout on the meal plan. The school requires you to have a meal plan too unless you have a medical problem that you can PROVE. It is very difficult to do this. Being grossed out by the bugs and mold is not a good enough reason.

Diversity: The school prides itself on having a diverse student body. There are a few races represented, and the school has an ALANA club for minorities, but they do not seem to openly support LGBT and non-Christian students.

Health & Safety: I've never felt safer on a college campus than I felt at ENC. Security is constantly around, and they use a lot of graduates on security, so they are familiar faces with a good knowledge of the campus.

There's very little crime. The only problem I can think of is non-students who sneak in with students to play basketball, but security is pretty good about kicking them out. I wish the school would do something about them, though, because they always come back and security can only make them leave.

That would be my only complaint.

Athletics: There is not a lot of support for varsity teams outside of varsity players and their friends. Pretty poor performances are a commonplace, which is sad considering our division iii status.

Rumor has it that the school may be dropped from NCAA altogether in the coming years.

Nightlife: Party at your own risk. There is a strict no drinking policy, and the school looks down on clubs and bars even if you're not drinking. Nazarenes are historically not allowed to dance.

Campus Strictness: The Campus Police are always driving around campus and they have a non tolerance policy for violence.
