3 College Junior

Facilities: I would say Ypsi in general. The open areas like Depot Town and the paper mill place across the street are pretty fun to explore

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The safety has definitely been heightened with the recent problems we've had but it's the students job to be more responsible as well. The locals aren't that friendly so I suggest that everything you need to do should be done before it gets dark

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: People are gonna do what they wanna do. Just worry about yourself and everything will be alright.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Everything is ok until you run into a problem with fee's that they don't tell you about.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The Ride is the bus line that's used here and it's not that bad at all. I believe it's operated from Ann Arbor and it's very decent in my opinion.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is WAY better than on-campus dining. Jimmy Johns, Mr. Pizza, Insomnia Cookies, and Domino's will save your life after you first week of the same foods.

4 College Junior

Academics: As a Spanish major, it's great. My highschool Spanish teacher is an alumni and everything she told me about Eastern is everything I expected.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: From my experience, this campus is not that strict but that could be from never getting caught!

3 College Junior

Majors: I'm a Spanish major. It's not hard to get into but the biggest problem I face is the availability of classes due to a VERY large shortage of professors. It sucks that certain classes are offered each semester because it slows down the graduation process. Other than that, the language department is the best. Professors are very welcoming and want you to excel and learn/visit the countries of your chosen language.

4 College Junior

Majors: I don't mind it at all. I love it and the professors I've had inspire me to stick with it! I wish there were more job opportunities and internships because a good portion of the students have no idea what to do or how to look for them

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I can't really speak on Greek life because I'm not apart of it but for the most part, they keep to themselves and only associate with other Greeks! lol it's a bit disappointing but whatevs.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The housing is not that bad, I just prefer living off campus.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: It's not that great to be honest because of the locals. Whether it's a greek, track house, football house, or regular house party, there's lots of fun to be made! The EMU Community advertises parties pretty well, the locals always ruin the fun or take things to the next level by robbing or injuring the students. It's really f***ed up that the locals ruin everything.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: I have many friends from different nationality and background

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have no desire to live off campus. I enjoy living on campus

4 College Freshman

Weather: The weather is great if its fall or winter but Spring is very unpredictable. For the most part the weather doesn't effect the experience on campus

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: have not tried to get in

3 College Freshman

Transportation: I own a vehicle and I commute so I have not needed to use public transportation.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I only applied for the financial aid through the school, no outside sources, and had no issues whatsoever.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: We are only minutes away from the University of Michigan so you see many students wearing Michigan clothes rather than supporting their own Eastern Michigan Eagles.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: They seem to ass new features to the campus every so often to keep the campus modern, yet at the same time keeping its historical value by maintaining the older and original buildings as well.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The majority of my experience with the campus technology has been via wi fi. Wireless access is reliable and sufficiently fast. There is also a 24 hour computer lab on campus which I find quite convenient fir students with hectic and varying schedules.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: The campus is racially and religiously diverse. There are several organizations on campus for students with varying religious, and political beliefs, as well as people of varying sexual orientations. I would deem the student body to be on the average to low end of the socioeconomic scale, as I haven't run into many students who do not fit this description, but this could be due to my limited campus experience.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Its a fine school, not the best but still good.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I think campus police need to continue to step it up as they did this semester to prevent students from feeling unsafe around campus. As far as the Health Center goes I hear they are good but when I went to get a physical they were also expensive.
