Parking: Often difficult to find parking so you must get there early. Permit price has doubled and availabilty decreased.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The only two things that I do not like about parking on campus is that spots fill up quickly and some of the lots are in awkward places

4 College Freshman

Parking: I always have a good parking spot

4 College Junior

Parking: A commuter pass is only $60 which is very inexpensive compared to many other schools

4 College Senior

Parking: The cost recently went up, but it's still a reasonable price for a decent sized campus. Close spots always fill up quickly, and parking is difficult the first few weeks of each semester, but as time goes on, spots become available. You also learn a routine of when to stay and when to arrive.

A lot of students complain about parking at EKU, but there are plenty of spots for everyone, they just might not be in an ideal location. With over 15 parking lots just for students, EKU offers parking all over campus. Freshmen are allowed to have cars on campus, and permits are given to students in different zones, such as residents or commuters. The cost is really affordable at only $30 for the entire academic year.

Parking violations are enforced strictly, but the fines are not that bad. Most fines are only $20 with the exception of parking in a fire lane, a handicap spot, or using a stolen permit. Students rank the ease of finding a spot as average. The good spots right in the heart of campus go quick, and many students will circle lots until something opens up. However, rest assured that there are plenty of spots to park at EKU.
