2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The cost of living off campus is outrageous. Landlords raise the prices because they don't want a ton of college students tearing up the place.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I am a student that requires special conditions aid. I was not involved with my parents when I applied for financial aid the first time so it was a process because I had to apply without their information but we had to get statements and reference letters to prove certain things. It was a long process. Now I am married and had to go through the hassle of the special conditions and changing everything to mine and my husbands financial information.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I do not live on campus so I am unsure about campus life. From what I've been told, things can sometimes be strict depending on what it is.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I know a lot of the campus police personally. They are so helpful whenever they are needed.

5 College Freshman

Academics: I have had many professor that I have enjoyed through my year. Sometimes it is overwhelming at times but that is because I have 100 different things going at once.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I recently switched my major so I am still learning things about it.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: They are not usually judgmental or rude. They are nice and interesting.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: I have lived here all of my life so I have seen it all and done it all. If I moved here from a distance there would be plenty of fun and interesting things to do!

5 College Freshman

Athletics: A lot of people are athletes on campus and I think it is wonderful. They are not praised for it or treated any differently. Our facilities are wonderful.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I do plan to do student teaching because it is required. It doesn't pay. I do not have any concerns about finding somewhere because I went to high school locally so I could easily get in there if I need to.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I haven't went through the process so I am unsure, but I have been told it is extremely easy.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I do not involve myself in Greek life but it seems alright

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I actually work in a restaurant in town. I believe that the cost is mostly average. There is a variety to a point. The convenience of late night accessibility is non-existent.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: I personally do not live on campus but I do take 16 hours or more per semester so I tend to be there a lot! I think that our campus is extremely beautiful and utilized in a fantastic way. There are plenty of places to study or hangout and there is always something interesting going on.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: I believe that most people on campus are totally accepting of different race, sexual orientations, and other economic status. Everybody is accepted for who they are and where they come from and strongly encouraged to be who they want to be!

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: The diversity is great. You meet people from all over the world. I met people from Africa, Norway, Germany, China, Japan, and other countries. It's great to know their heritage and history. Everyone has their own belief and no one really tries to shove their religion in your face. Your sexual orientation isn't a main factor on campus, it's how you treat others.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It's pretty good to live on campus, you get to attend a lot more activities. It doesn't cost a lot to live on campus and the housing process is first come, first serve.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It wasn't hard, it was just long. Have everything you need to fill out the forms.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Campus police patrols the campus day and night. If you a re on campus late at night, we have emergency boxes. If you feel like you are in trouble, just push the button and the system will make siren noises and start flashing. We had multiple car break ins last year and anyone who was caught late at night was followed by the campus police all the way to their dorm building to make sure no harm came to you.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: There weren't a lot of difficulties, but I've run into a few. If you're not very comfortable with singing in front of people, get over it very quickly. You have to sing in front of your voice teacher, choir director, and every student in the music department. Do your best, don't hold back any potential you have, and be confident.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: It's fairly difficult, but I like it. It pushes you to your limits to show you how much you can do. As the year goes on, your limits get higher and higher. You become better than you ever thought you could be.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Everyone shows so much pride into the sports. The team works together very well in all aspects, most are above average students, and help around campus. The spirit that is shown throughout the year is incredible.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love the way the teachers make sense of the topics, offer extra help, and helps you in so many ways for you to pass your classes. The size of your classes average about 20-30 students in a classroom.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I was recruited by my choir director to attend ECU. He puts so much passion into his work, he shows you how a choir director should be.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: It's as easy as any other campus rules: you follow them. If not, you could be put on probation on your scholarships, suspended, or expelled.
