College Sophomore

Majors: I haven't had an internship. No one has told me about any.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I really enjoy my major but I would like to take less classes. My advisor really pushes me to take lots of classes and I don't want to get burnt out. I'd rather go an extra year than stay at school from 8 in the morning till 4 at night. I have a life outside of school.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There's really nothing to do in Ada. Few clothing stores, nothing really cultural, and few events.

Off-Campus Dining: Usually I go to McDonalds because it's the cheapest. My husband goes to Taco Bell because it's also fairly cheap. We usually go eat at the park which is very close to both the college and McDonalds.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The art department is great! The teachers are laid back and fun! I had a terrible math teacher for college algebra and after asking other students in his class, not many people like him. He completely crushed my will to learn. The work was easy but he was sarcastic, rude and he liked to pick on the students. The absolute worst teacher I have ever had in my life. The advisors could be a little nicer, after all, we are paying for this, we should be able to take whatever, and as many, or few, classes as we want. But other than that, I really enjoy school.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I did have some difficulty receiving my financial aid but the staff was courteous and helpful.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus. I am a commuter.

Off-Campus Dining: There are chain fast food restaurants near the campus so you can walk to them. The prices are fairly low as well and there are even plenty of store of cheap food as well.

Greek Life: I am not a Greek but they won't treat you any differently. Greeks help out around the campus and the community and they even work together with non-Greeks. There is no line between Greeks and non-Greeks because we are all students at the same university.

Campus Housing: The cost was reasonable for this type of university. I met some cool roommates and friends along the way. It was interesting to live on your own with other people like you.

Overall Experience: My favorite experience was meeting people. I got to learn about people that I didn't know before. It helps you to get out there and see what the world is like.

Majors: I believe that I have found my major that I will enjoy doing. I am hoping to go to the city to use my skills anyway possible.

4 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I did have some problems with payment on my school but even that didn't bring me down. We had to take certain classes to get our degrees that we were not used to but I did learn a lot from them.

4 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: The college is very open to anyone with diversity. There are college churches near by and clubs for different ethnic groups.

4 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: There are many different cultural groups at my college. Everybody has their own style. My college is an international college as well so there are a lot of things that are diverse.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: What I like about my campus is the strictness. It also gives me a sense of safety because I know that I will be safe in my doom room or on campus. Having campus police watching the campus helps me to learn without having to worry about any danger.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: I have to say that I have great professors at my college. They give us time to do projects and they are well verse in their curriculum.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: My major involves a lot of hands on work which is what I like. It is more on the art side than logical side like science. My majors deals with programs and computers that can help get me the job I want.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: There are places to go but I like to walk which has a great park but sometimes I like different other places to walk.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: It can be hard to get financial aid especially with a lot of hours but other than that it is a good thing.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are not very any options for late night, and most places are fast food. Other places are sit down places like Chili's or Applebee's and they roll a bit on the expensive side. But you will probably see a lot of college students working there.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: I grew up in a small town so being around so many people in Ada is a lot better. I love it here. People are nice and the events are always fun.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The academics here are not award winning but still good. Some of the professors are rude and don't care but the majority are very good at what they do.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I'm not Greek myself, but I have friends that are. Depending on the chapter Greeks are very nice and include the rest of the university in some of their events. At ECU, Chi Omega are the girls you don't know but you hear things about them. Zetas are always representing their sorority. They are a lil more up tight though. Pikes are the pretty boys. The other frats I have no idea because you never hear about them.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: The town just makes the school awful the people are rude and it doesn't cater to college kids at all!
