For a relatively small college, Dordt has quite a few quality facilities to offer, and if a particular facility isn't up-to-date, the College is probably involved in renovating it. Remodeling was finished in the fall of 2009 to the main classroom building on campus, which is formally known as the Douglas and Henrietta (Miedema) Ribbens Academic Complex. The renovation provided the building with additional classroom space, especially for students involved in art, graphic design, digital media film production, and teacher education. The art department received some much-needed improvements, with new drawing and printmaking studios along with a new dark room for photography students. The media lab is a great asset for students in digital media film production and graphic design. Remodeling was also done to what used to be the house of the president of the College, which has now been transformed into a facility for students in the nursing department. With other facility renovations, a new apartment building is being constructed for upperclassmen and will be completed by the fall of 2010. The East Campus Apartments will also be renovated.

Some Dordt facilities have been well taken care of and are not in need of renovation. The Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art facility. A few of its features include: two weight rooms, a fitness room, three racquetball courts, an indoor track, basketball and volleyball courts, an aerobics/dance room, and a long jump pit. Also available for the students to use is the All Seasons Center, located directly across the street from the campus, which has an NHL-sized hockey rink where the Dordt hockey team practices and plays. Indoor and outdoor pools are also part of the All Seasons Center.
