4 College Sophomore

Academics: I would like more summer options in upper level units but on the whole my experience has been good. Registration is easy. Classes have been available (and we have small class sizes!). It is easy to connect with my advisor and others for guidance.

College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I am not up to date.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Totally manageable but the courses are relevant, well taught and have prepared me for my field. There are lots of learning opportunities without bring overly academic.

5 College Sophomore

Weather: I love the weather. No snow and spring, summer and fall are absolutely beautiful.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I live Marin and the Bay Area. There is a lot to do and see!

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I live off campus and commute in.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: But I think that it is the same at most school: I have to follow up, advocate for myself and be timely with all my paperwork. But the school has a great FiAid office. They are there to help.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Good lighting. Visible patrols. Friendly, helpful officers. The security desk is always stuffed, calls are answered...

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Never an issue! And the Wi-Fi is great: fast, easily accessible. I set it up once and in a year I've never had a problem.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I love the gym. It is absolutely beautiful. Our teams are great and there are lots of rec choices: Zumba, field sports, gym sports. It's an active community. Plus there are lots of nearby hiking trails and we are in California! Marin was named the healthiest county is the nation for a good reason!

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: The campus is diverse. People come from all around the US and abroad (somewhat heavily from the West Coast and Asia). There is a good foreign exchange program. I have met students from all ethnic and economic backgrounds. There are also two great adult programs: one that offers a degree completion, one for lifetime learners. So there are many older students around campus adding great work/life experience to the dynamic.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I live way off campus!

4 College Sophomore

Parking: I have never experienced a problem with finding a space. Max search time was seven minutes one day (Jane Goodall was speaking!).

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are good bus lines in Marin and beyond. I would recommend a car to be able to truly take advantage of everything the location can offer (great exploration potential!). But a car is by no means a requirement.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are several dining options near by from chains (Taco Bell, KFC, subway...) to ethnic foods (Thai, Mexican, Italian...). There is also an awesome whole foods that is just a few blocks away for really nice produce, grab and go foods and pizzas (although the nearby Dominos has the BEST specials and delivers!). We are in the Bay Area which drives a high quality of diverse food options! Chilly's on campus is really great too!

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Everyone is super friendly. The campus is gorgeous and in a great location for activities, weather, hanging out. The classes are taught by dedicated professors who I know personally and can easily meet or talk to.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: We have a lot of athletes! And a very diverse student population! Social life revolves around events and activities - great lacrosse team, going to SF Giants or Warriors games (!) and we have awesome arts programs (dance, theater, music).

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: not strict but i dont live on campus so i dont really know

5 College Junior

Academics: Business program is awesome! Low student-teacher ratio. Helping you to get a career after college.

5 College Junior

Athletics: Athletics are improving a lot at this school! D2. Reaching new heights. Athletic facilities are improving a lot!

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: everyone kind of does their own thing. Girls are stylish. Guys dress nicely or in athletic gear. If you go here since freshman year, everyone knows everyone and has established friend groups. If you transfer it is more difficult to make friends .

3 College Junior

Nightlife: You can always go to the city which is awesome. Otherwise, there is very little night life in Marin.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: We do not have Greek life.
