Health & Safety: Health & Safety – I feel that many of the campus security workers don't actually do the jobs that are required of them to keep the campus safe. Instead of worrying about a freshman getting to the dorm safely, they are lurking to see whose car they are going to boot.

Overall Experience: My overall experience has been good. My school is unique because it is a major HBCU. If I had the chance again I would pick the school again because th education is excellent snd it is close to home.

Academics: My specific major has it's ups and downs. The curriculum is reatough at times when we are required to take certain classes outside of math. There is really a lot of work because math always seem so short and easy. WE are often told by instructors of many oppurtunities while we still in school and after graduation. My specific major is pretty cool and rare in a way.

Guys & Girls: The Campus Body – The scene on campus is really cool. The girls out number the guys by a lot, as a guy that is always exciting. The students all walk the oaks constantly mingling making new friends. The oaks is a path in the center of the campus. The scene on campus is really exciting.

College Freshman

Majors: Computer Science Program – I have not started my classes yet. I chose Dillard based on my research

Academics: I am a freshman so I am unsure. But I chose to come to Dillard based on my research

Local Atmosphere: Big Easy Party – New Orleans always has something going on. It has great historical, restaurants and sporting events. Mardi Gras is party time. There are many tours and restaurants to choose from

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Custom Made to Fit – You can take a variety of classes your major. Your classes are customed made to fit you & your major.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: the education provided at dillard University is completely different from California's education. its slower there. the education at Dillard seems very plain, the instructors are not really very good ones, because they dont have the emotion needed to teach the subject.

Local Atmosphere: Love It All – there is so much to do and see in New Orleans. Dillard University is still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. so its difficult for us students on campus to get by, with mold in our apartments and things. But New Orleans is still building up from the Disaster. and they are reall friendly to everyone. i love the souther hospitality. the french quarters are the main attraction there, everyone goes there to have fun! clubs ever night! if you are bored, that means you dont know what is going on in the city

College Freshman

Transportation: I Haven't Resided on Campus – I haven't had the opportunity to experience the transportation options.

College Freshman

Health & Safety: I Haven't Resided on Campus – I haven't experienced safety and security on campus.

Nightlife: Scool Parties – The university has a lot to offer the students, like on campus parties and games.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Bleed Bleu – The professor are always there for their student, not only in the classroom but outside of it. If they see you pass they always speak and how you are doing.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Duicef Hall – The campus has a state of the art new math and science building, with an up to dat nursing buiolding.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining is alright.Everything is close around school

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Nothing remarkable. Because many students do not have cars, or are commuters, it's not a nightmare.

Greek Life: There, but Without – It's fully reasonable to say that one can survive without the hassle and bustle of joining a fraternity. While all are distinguished in their own right, it's not a demanding aspect.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: English Major – The professors are knowledgeable of their craft and are very insightful in helping other majors and non-majors alike. The curriculum is rather rigid, even for an English major. It requires the entire 4 years of completion, encapsulating both core courses and electives. Because there are many minors in the department, the array of courses span throughout many fields.

From my experience, scholarships and job opportunities are awarded to those who strive above and beyond attending classes. It was because of these interactions with my professors that allowed me the chance to be selected for the UNCF Mellon program at Emory University.

Overall Experience: One word Amazing! Education, campus life, community service, friendship, networking, diversity, and study abroad. Wow, I Love my University.

3 College Junior

Diversity: A Good Blend – I attend a HBCU so my school is predominantly African American but we do have students of different backgrounds which makes our school a good blend and unique.

5 College Junior

Academics: My school is more than just a place for education but a place of love and where we are all family. They are kind, genuine, and very helpful which is one of the main reasons why I chose to attend my university in September 2009.

Drug Safety: The peer pressure for drug and alcohol usage is average for most colleges and university's. The policy enforcement is poor at Dillard, I think that the staff will do the bare minimum if that to enforce the policy and rules.

3 College Student

Guys & Girls: The guys at Dillard University are unique. They aren't like the guys that I am used to in Houston, which is good. The girls are a lot more friendly. Dillard's social life is really great!

Computers: The labs at Dillard University are small. There are not enough labs on the campus and the labs that we do have are missing computers. The network reliability and speed is poor, as well as the wireless access. Most students have their own personal computer and/or printer, but for those who are less fortunate to own their own rely on the school's.
